2. Important Safety Instructions

4.1 Unpacking

4.3 Initial Cleaning and First Use

• To eliminate any manufacturing odors, operate the oven empty for approximately 15 minutes at maximum temperature (240°C) using the Traditional Heat mode. Some smoke or odor may be present; this is normal. Ensure the area is well-ventilated.

The Moulinex Optimo 19L oven offers 6 cooking modes and a temperature range of 100-240°C, controlled by simple mechanical knobs.

5.1 Selecting a Cooking Mode

Turn the Mode Selector Knob to choose one of the following functions:

• Traditional Heat: Ideal for roasting meats, baking cakes, and general cooking. Heat comes from both top and bottom elements.
• Grill: Perfect for browning, toasting, and grilling thin cuts of meat or vegetables. Heat comes from the top element only.
• Pastry: Optimized for baking pastries, cookies, and delicate items.
• Bain-Marie: Suitable for gentle cooking or keeping food warm.
• Defrost Function: For thawing frozen foods.

5.2 Setting Temperature and Time

1. Place your food inside the oven, on the grill rack or in an appropriate oven-safe dish.
2. Turn the Temperature Knob to the desired temperature (100-240°C).
3. Turn the Mode Selector Knob to the desired cooking function.
4. Turn the Timer Knob to the desired cooking time (up to 120 minutes). The oven will start heating. A red indicator light will illuminate.
5. When the set time has elapsed, the oven will automatically turn off and a bell will sound.
6. To stop cooking before the timer finishes, turn the Timer Knob to the 'OFF' position.
7. For continuous cooking, turn the Timer Knob to the 'ON' position. You will need to manually turn it off when cooking is complete.
