Setup and Mounting

The Hotshot SL-50 comes with a secured hard mount for easy installation on your bicycle's seat post.

  1. Attach the Mount: Wrap the seat post mount around your bicycle's seat post.
  2. Secure the Mount: Use a screwdriver to tighten the screw on the mount until it is firmly in place and does not move.
  3. Adjust Pitch (Optional): The mount allows for adjustment of the up and down pitch to optimize the light's angle for visibility. Adjust as desired.
  4. Attach the Light: Slide the Hotshot SL-50 tail light down onto the secured mount until it snaps into place. Ensure it is securely fastened.

Adjusting Flash Speed and Brightness:

Cygolite's patented OSP technology allows for user-tuneable flash speed and brightness.

The light features a mode memory function, recalling the last mode used when turned back on.

Charging

The Hotshot SL-50 is USB rechargeable. A low battery indicator will alert you when charging is needed.

  1. Locate Charging Port: The mini USB charging port is located on the side of the light, protected by a rubber cover.
  2. Connect Cable: Open the rubber cover and connect the supplied mini USB charging cable to the light and to a USB power source (e.g., computer, wall adapter).

  5. Disconnect: Once fully charged, disconnect the cable and ensure the rubber cover is securely closed to maintain water resistance.
