Controls and Functions:

• TIME SET: Press to enter time setting mode.

Setup

Power Connection

1. Connect the supplied AC power adapter to the DC IN jack on the back of the unit.
2. Plug the adapter into a standard wall outlet (AC 220V/50Hz).
3. The display will light up, indicating the unit is powered on.

Battery Backup (Optional)

The CR-18 requires 2 x AAA batteries (not included) for battery backup. These batteries maintain time and alarm settings during a power outage.

1. Open the battery compartment cover on the bottom of the unit.
2. Insert 2 AAA batteries, observing the correct polarity (+ and -).
3. Close the battery compartment cover.

Note: Battery backup does not power the display or alarm sound during a power outage; it only preserves settings.

FM Antenna

For optimal FM radio reception, fully extend the built-in wire antenna located at the back of the unit. Adjust its position for the best signal.

Operating Instructions

Setting the Time

1. In standby mode, press and hold the TIME SET button. The hour digits will flash.
2. Press TUNE+ or TUNE- to adjust the hour.
3. Press TIME SET again. The minute digits will flash.
4. Press TUNE+ or TUNE- to adjust the minutes.
5. Press TIME SET once more to confirm and exit time setting mode.

Setting Alarms (Alarm 1 and Alarm 2)

The CR-18 allows you to set two independent alarms.

1. Press and hold the ALARM 1 or ALARM 2 button. The alarm hour digits will flash.
2. Press TUNE+ or TUNE- to adjust the alarm hour.
3. Press ALARM 1 or ALARM 2 again. The alarm minute digits will flash.
4. Press TUNE+ or TUNE- to adjust the alarm minutes.
5. Press ALARM 1 or ALARM 2 again to select the alarm source: Buzzer or FM Radio. Use TUNE+ or TUNE- to toggle.
6. Press ALARM 1 or ALARM 2 once more to confirm and activate the alarm. The corresponding alarm indicator (e.g., ⏰1 or ⏰2) will appear on the display.

To deactivate an alarm, repeatedly press the corresponding ALARM button until the alarm indicator disappears from the display.

Radio Operation (FM)

1. Press the ON/OFF button to turn on the radio.
2. Press TUNE+ or TUNE- briefly to fine-tune the frequency. Press and hold to auto-scan for the next available station.
3. Adjust volume using VOL+ or VOL-.

Storing and Recalling Preset Stations

1. Tune to your desired FM station.
2. Press and hold the PRE/M+ button until "PXX" (XX being the preset number) flashes on the display.
3. Use TUNE+ or TUNE- to select the desired preset number (e.g., P01, P02).
4. Press PRE/M+ again to confirm and save the station.
5. To recall a preset station, briefly press the PRE/M+ button repeatedly to cycle through your saved stations.

Snooze Function

When an alarm sounds, press the SNOOZE/BRIGHTNESS button to temporarily silence the alarm. The alarm will sound again after approximately 9 minutes.

Sleep Timer

The sleep timer allows the radio to play for a set duration before automatically turning off.

1. While the radio is playing, press the SLEEP button repeatedly to cycle through sleep timer options (e.g., 90, 60, 30, 15 minutes, OFF).
2. The radio will automatically turn off after the selected time.

Display Dimmer

To adjust the brightness of the LED display:

• In standby mode, press the SNOOZE/BRIGHTNESS button repeatedly to cycle through different brightness levels (e.g., High, Low, Off).

Maintenance

• Cleaning: Wipe the unit with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Battery Replacement: Replace the AAA backup batteries annually or when the display shows signs of dimming during a power outage.
• Storage: If storing the unit for an extended period, disconnect it from the power outlet and remove the backup batteries.
