Setup

1. Loading Staples

  1. Unlock the Handle: If the handle is locked down for storage, press the handle release button or mechanism to allow the handle to spring up.
  2. Open the Magazine: Locate the staple magazine release at the rear or bottom of the stapler. Push or pull this mechanism to open the staple magazine. The magazine will slide out.
  3. Insert Staples: Place a strip of Tacwise 53/8mm staples into the magazine with the staple legs pointing downwards. Ensure the staples are correctly oriented and fit snugly.
  4. Close the Magazine: Slide the magazine back into the stapler until it clicks securely into place. Ensure it is fully closed to prevent staples from falling out during use.

2. Adjusting the Margin Adjuster (if applicable)

The Z2-M stapler features an adjustable margin adjuster. This allows you to set a consistent distance from the edge of your material for precise stapling. Slide the adjuster to the desired measurement before stapling.

Operating Instructions

1. Using the Hand Stapler

  1. Position the Stapler: Place the stapler firmly against the material you wish to staple, ensuring the nose of the stapler is flat against the surface.
  2. Apply Pressure and Staple: Squeeze the handle firmly and completely until a staple is driven into the material. Release the handle to prepare for the next staple.
  3. Check Staple Depth: Inspect the stapled material to ensure the staple is fully embedded. If not, adjust your technique by applying more consistent pressure or checking the material suitability.

2. Using the Staple Remover

The included staple remover is designed to safely and easily remove staples without damaging the material.

  1. Position the Remover: Slide the pointed end of the staple remover underneath the crown of the staple.
  2. Leverage and Lift: Gently press down on the handle of the remover, using it as a lever to lift the staple out of the material.
  3. Dispose of Staples: Safely dispose of removed staples to prevent injury.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Keep the stapler clean and free from dust and debris. Use a dry cloth to wipe down the exterior. Do not use harsh chemicals or solvents.
  • Lubrication: No regular lubrication is required for manual staplers.
  • Storage: When not in use, lock the handle down (if applicable) and store the stapler and accessories in the provided case in a dry, cool place.
