4. Setup

4.1 Charging the Amplifier

Before first use, fully charge the FiiO A1. Connect the supplied USB charging cable to the Micro USB port on the amplifier and the other end to a USB power source (e.g., computer USB port, USB wall adapter). The LED indicator will show charging status.

  • Charging Time: Approximately 1.5 hours for a full charge.
  • LED Status: Red light indicates charging; blue light indicates fully charged.

4.2 Connecting to Audio Source and Headphones

  1. Connect one end of the 3.5mm audio cable to the audio output jack of your source device (e.g., smartphone, tablet, computer).
  2. Connect the other end of the 3.5mm audio cable to the Audio Input (3.5mm) port on the FiiO A1.
  3. Connect your headphones to the Headphone Output (3.5mm) port on the FiiO A1.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off

  • To power on, press and hold the Power/EQ Button for approximately 2 seconds until the LED indicator lights up.
  • To power off, press and hold the Power/EQ Button for approximately 2 seconds until the LED indicator turns off.

5.2 Adjusting Volume

  • Press the Volume Up Button (+) to increase the volume.
  • Press the Volume Down Button (-) to decrease the volume.

5.3 Equalizer (EQ) Modes

The FiiO A1 features four distinct EQ modes to tailor the sound to your preference. Press the Power/EQ Button briefly to cycle through the modes. The LED indicator will change color to denote the active EQ mode.

  • Mode 1 (Blue LED): Flat EQ - Provides a neutral audio amplification without any frequency adjustments.
  • Mode 2 (Green LED): Bass 1 EQ - Offers a moderate bass boost, enhancing low-frequency response.
  • Mode 3 (Red LED): Bass 2 EQ - Provides a stronger bass boost for more pronounced low-end.
  • Mode 4 (Blue & Red Flashing LED): Bass 3 EQ - Applies a slight attenuation, potentially for specific audio profiles or headphones.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the amplifier. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • Storage: Store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Charge the device regularly, even if not in use for extended periods.
  • Clip Replacement: The clear plastic clip is removable and replaceable. Extra clips are provided in the package.
