Introduction
This manual provides detailed instructions for the safe and efficient installation, operation, and maintenance of your Wilbar Meadows Reprieve 18 ft Round Above Ground Swimming Pool. Please read all instructions carefully before beginning assembly or use to ensure proper setup and to maximize the lifespan of your pool.
The Wilbar Meadows Reprieve pool features a durable steel wall with resin coating for protection against rust, a 25-gauge overlap liner, and a widemouth skimmer. Its design is intended for year-round outdoor use.
Setup Instructions
Proper site preparation and assembly are crucial for the stability and longevity of your above ground pool. Follow these steps carefully.
1. Site Preparation
Select a level area free from sharp objects, roots, or debris. The ground must be firm and capable of supporting the weight of the filled pool (approximately 7,000 - 8,500 gallons of water). Ensure adequate drainage away from the pool area.

4. Liner Installation
The 25-gauge overlap liner is designed to fold over the top of your pool wall. Lay the liner out in the sun for at least one hour to warm the vinyl, ensuring it stretches properly during installation. Ideal installation temperatures are between 70-80 degrees Fahrenheit.

5. Skimmer and Inlet Installation
Install the widemouth skimmer and water inlet according to the manufacturer's instructions provided with those components. Ensure all seals are tight to prevent leaks.

Operating Your Pool
Filling the Pool
Once the liner is securely in place and all connections are tight, begin filling the pool with water. As the water level rises, smooth out any wrinkles in the liner from the center outwards. Stop filling when the water reaches the recommended level, typically halfway up the skimmer opening.
Water Circulation
Ensure your pump and filter system (sold separately) are correctly installed and operating. Proper water circulation is essential for maintaining water quality and preventing algae growth.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance will keep your pool clean, safe, and enjoyable for years.
Water Chemistry
Test your pool water regularly for pH, chlorine, alkalinity, and calcium hardness. Adjust chemical levels as needed to maintain a balanced and sanitary swimming environment. Follow the instructions provided with your water testing kit and pool chemicals.
Cleaning
Skim debris from the water surface daily. Vacuum the pool floor as needed to remove settled dirt and particles. Brush the pool walls to prevent algae buildup.

Winterization
For colder climates, proper winterization is essential to protect your pool from freezing damage. Consult a local pool professional or specific winterization guides for your region. Do not attempt to sink this pool into the ground, as this will void the manufacturer's warranty.
Troubleshooting
This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your above ground pool.
- Cloudy Water: Check filter, backwash if necessary. Test water chemistry and adjust as needed. Ensure proper circulation.
- Algae Growth: Shock the pool with appropriate chemicals. Brush walls and vacuum. Check and adjust chlorine levels.
- Leaks: Inspect the liner for tears or punctures. Check all plumbing connections for tightness. Small leaks in the liner may be repaired with a vinyl patch kit.
- Pump/Filter Issues: Refer to the instruction manual for your specific pump and filter system. Ensure proper priming and clean filter media.
