2. Safety Instructions
Always observe the following safety precautions to prevent injury and damage to the appliance:
- Installation must be performed by a qualified electrician and plumber in accordance with local regulations and standards.
- Ensure the power supply matches the specifications of the unit (230V, 3.5kW).
- Do not operate the unit if it is damaged or malfunctioning. Disconnect from power immediately.
- This unit is designed for use with pressure-free fittings (low-pressure faucets) only. Using high-pressure fittings can damage the unit.

4. Setup and Installation
The Clage M 3/SNM is designed for quick and easy installation, typically under a sink. It is suitable for replacing older 5-liter storage heaters.
4.1. Pre-installation Checks
- Verify that your electrical supply is 230V and has a 16A fuse for the 3.5kW unit.
- Ensure you have a suitable low-pressure faucet or use the one provided.
- Confirm sufficient space under the sink for the unit (approx. 29 x 29 x 22 cm).
4.2. Installation Steps
- Mount the water heater unit securely to the wall under the sink using the provided wall bracket.
- Connect the cold water supply to the unit's inlet.
- Connect the unit's hot water outlet to the hot water inlet of the low-pressure faucet.
- Connect the cold water supply to the cold water inlet of the faucet.
- Insert the supplied flow regulator into the faucet.
- Plug the unit's power cable (65 cm long, can be shortened if needed) into a grounded 230V Schuko outlet.
- Open the cold water supply and check for leaks.

5. Operating Instructions
The Clage M 3/SNM provides hot water instantly upon demand.
5.1. Getting Hot Water
- Turn on the hot water handle of your faucet.
- The unit will automatically detect water flow and begin heating the water.
- Hot water will be dispensed almost immediately. The unit is designed to increase water temperature by approximately 25°C. For example, if the incoming cold water is 13°C (summer), the output will be around 38°C. If incoming water is 8°C (winter), the output will be around 33°C.
- Adjust the water temperature by mixing with cold water using the faucet handles as desired.

6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and efficient operation of your Clage M 3/SNM.
- Cleaning: Clean the exterior of the unit and faucet with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Descaling: The IESS galvanized wire heating system is designed to minimize calcification. However, in areas with very hard water, periodic descaling of the faucet aerator may be necessary.
- Heating Cartridge: The heating cartridge is replaceable, contributing to the long service life of the unit. Replacement should be performed by a qualified technician.
