2. Installation Instructions

2.1. Required Tools and Materials:

  • Measuring tape
  • Pencil or marker
  • Drill
  • Screwdriver (manual or power)
  • Appropriate mounting screws (not included)
  • Level

2.2. Mounting the Slide Rail:

The C3275-55 slide rail consists of an outer rail (fixed to the cabinet/frame) and an inner rail (fixed to the drawer/moving component). It is crucial not to change the combination of the inner and outer rails once separated.

  1. Separate Rails: Fully extend the slide rail. Locate the release lever (typically on the inner rail) and depress it to separate the inner rail from the outer rail. Keep track of which inner rail belongs to which outer rail.
  2. Mount Outer Rail: Position the outer rail on the cabinet or frame. Ensure it is level and properly aligned. Mark the screw hole locations. Drill pilot holes if necessary. Secure the outer rail using appropriate screws. Repeat for the second outer rail, ensuring both are parallel and at the same height.
  3. Mount Inner Rail: Attach the inner rail to the side of the drawer or moving component. Ensure it is flush and aligned correctly. Mark and drill pilot holes, then secure with screws. Repeat for the second inner rail.
  4. Reassemble: Align the inner rail with the outer rail and gently push the drawer into the cabinet until the rails engage and click into place. Test the sliding action.

Important: The load capacity is a static load measured in the center of the rail when the rail is extended. Ensure the mounting surface is strong enough to support the intended load.

3. Operation

3.1. Extending the Rail:

To extend the rail, simply pull the drawer or moving component outwards. The 3-step mechanism will allow the intermediate and inner rails to extend sequentially until the inner rail is fully exposed.

3.2. Locking Mechanism:

When the rail is fully extended, it will automatically lock into position. This prevents accidental retraction and provides stability for accessing contents.

3.3. Releasing the Lock:

To retract the rail, gently push the drawer inwards. The locking mechanism will disengage, allowing the rail to slide back into its closed position. If the rail is difficult to retract, ensure no obstructions are present.

4. Maintenance

The Sugatsune C3275-55 Slide Rail is designed for durability and requires minimal maintenance.

  • Cleaning: Periodically wipe the rails with a clean, dry cloth to remove dust and debris. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Lubrication: The ball bearings are pre-lubricated. If the sliding action becomes stiff over time, a small amount of silicone-based lubricant can be applied to the ball bearings. Avoid oil-based lubricants as they can attract dust.
  • Inspection: Regularly check the mounting screws for tightness. Ensure the rails are free from bends or damage.

5. Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Rail does not slide smoothly.Dust or debris in the ball bearings; lack of lubrication; misaligned rails.Clean rails and ball bearings. Apply a small amount of silicone lubricant. Check rail alignment and adjust if necessary.
Rail does not lock when fully extended.Obstruction preventing full extension; damaged locking mechanism.Ensure the rail can extend completely without obstruction. Inspect the locking mechanism for damage.
Rail is difficult to retract.Obstruction; misaligned rails; release lever not fully disengaging.Check for obstructions. Verify rail alignment. Ensure the release lever operates freely.
Drawer wobbles or feels loose.Loose mounting screws; incorrect installation.Tighten all mounting screws. Re-check installation steps for proper alignment and secure attachment.
