The Vanguard VEO 265AB is a full-featured and sturdy aluminum travel tripod designed for various camera types, including Mirrorless, Compact System Cameras (CSC), and DSLRs. It combines portability with robust performance.

Setup

  1. Unfolding the Tripod: To deploy the tripod, grasp the legs and rotate the central column using the rapid column rotation feature until the legs can be fully extended.
  2. Adjusting Leg Angles: Press the leg angle adjustment buttons located at the top of each leg to select one of the three available angles. Ensure all legs are set to the same angle for optimal stability.
  3. Extending Legs: Open the quick flip leg locks on each leg section and extend the legs to the desired height. Close the quick flip locks firmly to secure the leg sections.
  4. Attaching the Camera:
    • Ensure the quick release plate is detached from the ball head.
    • Screw the quick release plate securely onto the bottom of your camera.
    • Align the quick release plate with the receiver on the ball head and slide it in until it clicks into place. Tighten the locking knob on the ball head to secure the camera.

Operating Instructions

Adjusting Height and Position:

Low Angle Photography:

For extremely low-angle shots, the central column can be reversed or replaced with the included low angle adapter.

  1. Using the Low Angle Adapter: Remove the central column completely. Attach the low angle adapter to the tripod's base. This allows the ball head to be mounted directly onto the tripod's spider, enabling very low shooting positions.
  2. Reversing the Central Column: Alternatively, the central column can be inverted and reinserted into the tripod for macro photography or shooting from a unique perspective.
