Operating Instructions
The Hamilton Beach Electric Tea Kettle is designed for quick and convenient water heating.
- Filling the Kettle: Open the lid and fill the kettle with the desired amount of fresh water. Ensure the water level is between the MIN (0.5L) and MAX (1.7L) marks on the water window. Do not overfill or underfill.
- Placing on Base: Place the kettle firmly onto its 360-degree rotating power base. The cordless design allows for easy lifting and pouring.
- Starting Boiling: Press the ON/OFF switch located on the back of the handle. The attractive blue power indicator light on the front will illuminate, indicating that the kettle is heating.
- Fast Boiling: With 1500 watts of power, the kettle boils water faster than a microwave and is safer than a stovetop kettle.
- Automatic Shut-off & Boil-Dry Protection: The kettle will automatically shut off once the water reaches a rolling boil. This feature, combined with boil-dry protection, prevents the kettle from scorching if the water level gets too low or if it's accidentally turned on without water.
- Serving: Once boiling is complete, lift the kettle off the base for convenient, cord-free serving. The drip-free spout ensures clean pouring.

- Cleaning: Always unplug the kettle and allow it to cool completely before cleaning. The exterior can be wiped with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the kettle or power base in water.
- Interior Cleaning: For mineral deposits (limescale) that may build up over time, fill the kettle with a mixture of equal parts water and white vinegar. Let it soak for at least 30 minutes, or boil the mixture and let it stand for 15-20 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with fresh water several times.
- Material: The kettle is constructed from durable stainless steel with a BPA-free interior, ensuring a corrosion-resistant, sleek, and long-lasting appliance that is easy to clean.
- Storage: When not in use, store the kettle in a dry place. You can wrap the cord around the base for tidy storage.
