1. Introduction
This manual provides essential information for the proper setup, use, and maintenance of your ZINUS Memory Foam 12 Inch Green Tea Mattress. Designed for optimal comfort and support, this mattress features green tea and ActivCharcoal infused memory foam for freshness and pressure relief. Please read all instructions carefully before proceeding.
2. Safety Information
- Keep away from open flames: Memory foam is flammable. Do not expose the mattress to open flames or high heat sources.
- Ventilation: Upon unboxing, ensure adequate ventilation in the room to dissipate any mild, temporary odor associated with new foam products.
- Sharp objects: Use caution when opening the packaging to avoid damaging the mattress with sharp objects.
- Weight Limit: This King size mattress is designed to support up to 500 pounds.
3. Setup
Your ZINUS mattress is compressed and rolled for convenient shipping. Follow these steps for proper setup:
- Unpack the Box: Carefully open the shipping box.
- Remove from Packaging: Place the rolled mattress on a clean, flat surface, such as your bed frame. Carefully cut and remove the outer plastic wrapping. Avoid using sharp objects directly on the mattress surface.
- Unroll and Expand: Unroll the compressed mattress. It will begin to expand immediately.
- Allow Full Expansion: Allow 24 to 72 hours for the mattress to fully regain its shape and reach its stated 12-inch thickness. Expansion may take longer in colder environments. Walking or sleeping on the mattress can help speed up the process.

4. Usage
The ZINUS Green Tea Memory Foam Mattress is designed to provide a comfortable and supportive sleep surface.
- Pressure Relief: The memory foam layers conform to your body's natural curves, distributing weight evenly to relieve pressure points.
- Airflow: Open air pockets within the comfort foam layer promote airflow, helping to regulate temperature for a cooler sleep experience.
- Ideal for Sleepers: This mattress is suitable for various sleeping positions, particularly beneficial for side sleepers and individuals of petite to average weight.

5. Maintenance
Proper care will extend the life and performance of your mattress.
- Spot Clean Only: The mattress cover is not removable for machine washing. For spills or stains, spot clean only with a mild detergent and damp cloth. Allow to air dry completely.
- Ventilation: Periodically air out your mattress by removing bedding to promote freshness and prevent moisture buildup.
- Rotation: To ensure even wear and prolong comfort, rotate your mattress 180 degrees every 3-6 months.
6. Troubleshooting
Here are solutions to common issues you might encounter:
- Incomplete Expansion: If the mattress has not fully expanded after 72 hours, ensure the room temperature is warm enough (memory foam expands faster in warmer conditions). Allow additional time, up to a week, for full expansion. Ensure the mattress is on a flat surface.
- New Foam Odor: A mild, temporary odor is normal with new foam products. This 'new mattress smell' will dissipate with proper ventilation. Air out the room and mattress for several days.
- Uneven Surface/Dents: Ensure the mattress is placed on a supportive, flat foundation. If dents persist after full expansion, contact customer support.
