4. Installation

4.1 Wiring Connections

4.2 Mounting the Unit

Install the unit into the double-DIN opening of your vehicle's dashboard using the supplied mounting brackets and screws. Ensure the unit is securely fastened to prevent movement during driving.

5. Initial Setup

5.1 Powering On/Off

Press the Power/Mode button (usually located on the top left) to turn the unit on or off.

5.2 Setting the Clock

  1. Press the CLK button. The time display will flash.
  2. Use the Volume Knob or Seek buttons to adjust the hours.
  3. Press the CLK button again to switch to minutes adjustment.
  4. Use the Volume Knob or Seek buttons to adjust the minutes.
  5. Press the CLK button once more or wait a few seconds for the setting to be saved.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Basic Controls

  • Power/Mode Button: Short press to cycle through audio sources (Radio, CD, USB, SD, AUX, Bluetooth). Long press to turn the unit on/off.
  • Volume Knob: Rotate to adjust volume level. Press to access audio settings (Bass, Treble, Balance, Fader, EQ).
  • BND/TEL Button: In radio mode, short press to change radio bands (FM1, FM2, FM3, AM1, AM2). Long press to answer/end a Bluetooth call.

6.2 Radio Operation

  • Tuning: Use the Seek buttons ( / ) to automatically search for the next strong station.
  • Manual Tuning: Long press the Seek buttons to enter manual tuning mode, then short press to adjust frequency step-by-step.
  • Storing Presets: Tune to the desired station, then long press one of the numeric preset buttons (1-6) to save the station.
  • Recalling Presets: Short press a numeric preset button (1-6) to recall a saved station.

6.3 CD/MP3 Playback

  • Insert a CD into the disc slot. The unit will automatically switch to CD mode and begin playback.
  • Use the Track Skip buttons ( / ) to skip tracks.
  • Press the Play/Pause button (usually the center of the seek buttons) to pause or resume playback.
  • RPT (Repeat): Press to repeat the current track.
  • RDM (Random): Press to play tracks in random order.

6.4 USB/SD Card Playback

  • Insert a USB drive into the USB port or an SD card into the SD card slot. The unit will automatically switch to USB/SD mode and begin playback of compatible audio files (MP3, WMA, WAV).
  • Playback controls are similar to CD playback.

6.5 Bluetooth Operation

  • Pairing:
    1. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile device.
    2. Select Bluetooth mode on the AGR-502BT using the Mode button. The display will show "BT" or "PAIRING".
    3. On your mobile device, search for available Bluetooth devices and select "AGR-502BT".
    4. If prompted for a password, enter "0000".
    5. Once paired, the unit will display "CONNECTED" or a similar indicator.
  • Making/Receiving Calls:
    • To answer an incoming call, press the BND/TEL button.
    • To end a call, press the BND/TEL button again.
    • To make a call, dial from your phone; audio will transfer to the unit.
  • Bluetooth Audio Streaming (A2DP): Once paired, audio from your mobile device will stream wirelessly to the AGR-502BT. Use the unit's track skip buttons to control playback.

6.6 Auxiliary Input

Connect an external audio device (e.g., MP3 player) to the 3.5mm AUX input jack on the front panel. Select AUX mode using the Mode button. Audio will play through the car speakers.

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning the Unit: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the front panel. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Disc Care: Handle CDs by their edges. Clean discs with a soft, lint-free cloth, wiping from the center outwards.
