  1. Power On: Press any button to activate the display.
  2. Access Settings: Press and hold the SET button for a few seconds until the settings menu appears.
  3. Set Time and Date: Use the MODE and RES buttons to adjust values (hours, minutes, year, month, day). Press SET to confirm each entry and move to the next.
  4. Enter Personal Data:
    • Weight: Input your current weight in pounds (lbs) for accurate calorie burn calculations.
    • Stride Length: Measure your average stride length. To do this, walk 10 steps, measure the total distance in feet, and divide by 10. Enter this value into the device. This is crucial for accurate distance tracking.
  5. Set Daily Step Target (Optional): You can set a daily step goal. The device will graphically display your progress towards this target.
  6. Confirm Settings: Continue pressing SET until you exit the settings menu and return to the main display.

4. Operating the Activity Tracker

4.1. Wearing the Device

The Ozeri 4x3sport can be worn in your pocket, purse, or clipped to your belt using the provided clip. Its multi-axis detection ensures accuracy regardless of orientation. For best results, ensure it is securely attached and not swinging freely.

4.2. Activity Tracking Modes

The device features three distinct tracking modes: Walking, Running, and Stair-Climbing. The device automatically detects and switches between these modes based on your activity. MotionLock technology prevents accidental counting when not in active motion.

  • The device filters out minor vibrations and only begins counting steps after detecting a continuous sequence of movement to ensure accuracy.

4.3. Viewing Your Data

Press the MODE button repeatedly to cycle through different display screens:

  • Current Time: Displays the current time.
  • Steps: Shows the total steps taken for the current day.
  • Distance: Displays the distance covered (miles or kilometers, depending on your setting).
  • Calories Burned: Estimates the calories expended based on your activity and personal data.
  • Exercise Time: Shows the duration of your active exercise.
  • Stairs Climbed: Indicates the number of flights of stairs ascended.
  • Steps2Target Progress: A graphical representation of your progress towards your daily step goal.

Note: The device retains up to 30 days of historical data. Resetting daily data does not affect the stored historical records unless explicitly cleared through a full system reset (typically by battery removal).

5. Maintenance

5.1. Cleaning

To clean your activity tracker, gently wipe it with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or immerse the device in water.

5.2. Battery Replacement

When the battery level is low, the display may dim or the device may stop functioning. Refer to Section 3.1 for instructions on replacing the CR2032 lithium battery. Remember that replacing the battery will likely clear all current settings and data, requiring re-entry of your personal information.

5.3. Storage

Store the activity tracker in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. If storing for an extended period, consider removing the battery to prevent leakage.
