2. Safety Instructions

4. Setup
4.1 Unpacking
Carefully remove the heater from its packaging. Inspect the device for any signs of damage during transit. If any damage is found, do not operate the heater and contact your supplier.
4.2 Placement
Place the heater on a stable, level, and non-flammable surface. Ensure there is sufficient clearance around the heater for proper air circulation. Do not place it directly against walls or furniture. Maintain a minimum distance of 1 meter (3 feet) from any combustible materials.
4.3 Electrical Connection
The TROTEC TDS 50 R requires a 400 V power supply. Ensure the electrical outlet is properly grounded and rated for the heater's power consumption (9 kW). Connect the power plug securely into the appropriate socket.
5. Operating Instructions
The heater is controlled by two rotary switches located on the front panel.

5.1 Controls
- Left Rotary Switch (Thermostat): Adjusts the desired room temperature from MIN to MAX. The heater will cycle on and off to maintain the set temperature.
- Right Rotary Switch (Power Selector): Controls the operating mode and heating power.
5.2 Operating Modes
- Position 0 (Off): The heater is turned off.
- Fan Only Mode (Fan Icon): The fan operates without heating, providing air circulation.
- Heating Level 1 (Single Bar Icon): Provides partial heating power.
- Heating Level 2 (Double Bar Icon): Provides full heating power (9 kW).
5.3 Starting the Heater
- Plug the heater into a suitable 400 V power outlet.
- Turn the left rotary switch (thermostat) to the desired temperature setting. For continuous heating, set it to MAX.
- Turn the right rotary switch (power selector) to the desired heating level (Level 1 or Level 2) or to the fan-only mode. The heater will begin operation.
5.4 Shutting Down
To turn off the heater, rotate the right rotary switch (power selector) to position 0. Unplug the device from the power outlet when not in use for extended periods.
6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and efficient operation of your heater.
6.1 Cleaning
- Before cleaning, always unplug the heater and allow it to cool completely.

6.2 Storage
If the heater will not be used for an extended period, store it in a dry, dust-free location, preferably in its original packaging. Ensure the power cord is neatly coiled and secured.
