4. Operation
Operating your Manual B projector screen is simple and designed for ease of use.
4.1 Extending the Screen
- Gently pull down the screen from the center using the integrated handle or lanyard.
- Continue pulling until the screen reaches the desired viewing height. The auto-lock mechanism will engage, holding the screen in place.
- Ensure the screen is fully extended and locked before releasing.
4.2 Retracting the Screen
- Pull the screen down slightly (approximately 1-2 inches) to disengage the auto-lock mechanism.
- Slowly guide the screen upwards. The hands-free suppressed retraction mechanism will allow the screen to retract smoothly and quietly into its casing.
- Do not release the screen abruptly during retraction, as this may cause damage or injury.
Note: The hands-free retract mechanism is not available on 150" - 200" models.
5. Maintenance
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your projector screen.
5.1 Cleaning the Screen Surface
- Use a soft, lint-free cloth dampened with water to gently wipe the screen surface.
- For stubborn marks, a mild soap solution can be used, but always test on an inconspicuous area first.
- Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or excessive scrubbing, as these can damage the screen material.
- Allow the screen to air dry completely before retracting it.
5.2 Case and Mechanism Care
- Keep the screen casing clean and free of dust.
- Periodically check the mounting hardware to ensure it remains secure.
- Operate the pull-down mechanism smoothly and avoid forceful pulling or releasing to prevent damage to the internal spring.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your projector screen, refer to the following common solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Screen does not retract fully or smoothly. | Internal spring mechanism is stuck or overextended. | Gently pull the screen down a few inches and release it slowly. Repeat a few times. If the issue persists, contact customer support. Avoid overextending the screen past its natural stop point. |
| Screen has wrinkles or waves. | New screen material settling, or improper storage/handling. | Minor waves may diminish over time with regular use. Ensure the screen is always retracted properly and stored in a moderate temperature environment. |
| Image appears dim or washed out. | Ambient light interference or projector settings. | Minimize ambient light in the viewing area. Adjust your projector's brightness, contrast, and color settings. Ensure the projector is aligned correctly with the screen. |
