Setup
1. Unboxing and Initial Inspection

2. Connecting the Power Adapter
Connect the power adapter to the laptop's power input port and then plug the adapter into a power outlet. The battery will begin charging automatically.
3. First Boot and Operating System Setup
Press the power button to turn on the laptop. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the initial setup of the Windows 8.1 operating system, including language selection, network connection, and user account creation.

Operation
1. Keyboard and Touchpad Usage
The laptop features a full-sized keyboard and a multi-touch touchpad. Use the touchpad for navigation and gestures. Refer to the operating system's help for detailed touchpad gesture information.
2. Connecting Peripherals
The laptop is equipped with various ports for connecting external devices:
- USB 3.0 Ports: Two ports for high-speed data transfer.
- USB 2.0 Ports: Two ports for standard USB devices.
- Video Output: Ports for connecting external displays (e.g., HDMI, VGA).
- Audio Jack: For headphones or external speakers.

1. Battery Care

2. Cleaning the Laptop

3. RAM and Internal HDD Upgrades
Upgrading RAM or the internal hard drive requires careful handling. Follow these general steps:

- Remove Batteries: Detach both the main and any backup batteries.
- Remove Screws: Unscrew all screws from the bottom panel of the laptop.
- Open Case: Carefully pry open the plastic bottom case.
- Replace Components: Install new RAM modules or a 7mm SATA HDD.
- Reassemble: Reattach the plastic case and screws, then reinsert batteries.
Note: Only 7mm SATA HDDs are compatible with the retention bar mechanism. Larger drives may not fit securely.

Troubleshooting
1. Laptop Does Not Power On
- Ensure the power adapter is securely connected to both the laptop and a working power outlet.
- Verify the power outlet is functional by plugging in another device.
- If using battery power, ensure the battery is charged.
