Operating Instructions

Your BLACK+DECKER MM2000 offers three mowing modes: mulching, bagging, or side discharge.

Starting the Mower

1. Ensure the mower is on a flat, clear surface.
2. Press and hold the start button.
3. While holding the start button, pull the bail handle towards the main handle. The motor will start.
4. You can then release the start button, keeping the bail handle engaged to continue operation.

Mowing Modes

• Bagging: For collecting grass clippings. Ensure the 13-gallon nylon grass bag is properly attached. The fabric design allows you to easily see when the bag is full.

• Mulching: For finely cutting grass clippings and returning them to the lawn as natural fertilizer. This mode is engaged when the grass bag is not attached and the side discharge chute is closed.
• Side Discharge: For expelling grass clippings from the side of the mower. Attach the side discharge chute (if included and not pre-installed) to direct clippings away from the operator.

Mowing Tips

• Mow dry grass for best results.
• Overlap cutting paths slightly to ensure even coverage.
• For thick or tall grass, consider raising the cutting height and making multiple passes.
