4. Maintenance
4.1. Battery Replacement
This watch is equipped with a 10-year battery (CR2025). When the display becomes dim or functions become erratic, it may be time for battery replacement. It is recommended to have the battery replaced by an authorized service center to ensure proper sealing and water resistance.
4.2. Cleaning
Wipe the watch and band with a soft, dry cloth to remove dirt and moisture. For stainless steel bands, a mild soap solution and a soft brush can be used, followed by thorough rinsing and drying. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
4.3. Water Resistance Precautions
- Avoid operating buttons while the watch is submerged or wet.
- Do not expose the watch to extreme temperature changes (e.g., hot shower immediately followed by cold water).
- If the watch is exposed to saltwater, rinse it thoroughly with fresh water and dry it with a soft cloth.
5. Troubleshooting
- Display is blank or dim: The battery may be low. Replace the battery as described in the Maintenance section.
- Time is incorrect: Re-set the time and date using the instructions in the Initial Setup section. Ensure the correct city code and DST setting are selected.
- Buttons are unresponsive: Ensure the watch is not in a setting mode that locks out other buttons. If the issue persists, a battery reset or professional inspection may be required.
- Water inside the watch: Immediately take the watch to an authorized service center. Do not attempt to open the watch yourself, as this will void the warranty and can cause further damage.
