2. Initial Setup

2.1. Button Functions

Your watch has four buttons: A (Adjust), B (Mode), C (Search), and D (Light). Refer to the diagram below for their locations.

2.2. Setting the Time and Date

  1. In the Timekeeping Mode, hold down the A (Adjust) button until the city code starts to flash. This indicates the setting mode.
  2. Press the C (Search) button to cycle through the settings: City Code → DST (Daylight Saving Time) → 12/24-hour format → Seconds → Hour → Minute → Year → Month → Day.
  3. Use the B (Mode) button to increase the flashing value or the D (Light) button to decrease it. For city code, use B and D to select your desired city.
  4. Once all settings are correct, press the A (Adjust) button to exit the setting mode.

3. Operating Modes

Press the B (Mode) button to cycle through the different modes: Timekeeping → World Time → Stopwatch → Timer → Alarm.

3.2. World Time Mode

The countdown timer can be set for up to 24 hours.

The watch features 5 independent daily alarms and an hourly time signal.

3.6. Illuminator (Backlight)

Press the D (Light) button in any mode (except when setting) to illuminate the display for easy viewing in low light conditions.

3.7. Water Resistance

The Casio AE-1200WHD-1A is water resistant up to 100 meters (10 BAR). This means it is suitable for swimming, showering, and snorkeling. However, it is not recommended for scuba diving. Do not operate the buttons while the watch is wet or submerged.
