General Guide

Press [mode-button] to change from mode to mode. In any mode (except when a setting screen is on the display), press [light-button] to illuminate the display.

Mode Switching Illustrations: Diagrams show button presses to navigate between Timekeeping Mode, World Time Mode, Alarm Mode, Countdown Timer Mode, and Stopwatch Mode.

Timekeeping Mode: The Timekeeping Mode's Multi Time feature provides access to the current time and date in four different cities (T-1 through T-4). T-1 is the Home City Time, and T-2, T-3, and T-4 are Local Times, kept in synchronization with T-1. The digital dial at the top of the screen indicates the current Home City Time (T-1).

While the Home City Time (T-1) screen is displayed, pressing [button-A] switches the day of the week/month-day indication to the selected Home City code and the T-1 indicator for about one second.

The current time setting for Home City Time (T-1) can be changed. For Local Times (T-2, T-3, T-4), only the city code and DST setting can be changed.

Switching Between Time Screens: Each press of [button-D] cycles the time screens in the sequence: TYO T-1, NYC T-2, LON T-3, PAR T-4.

Changing the Current Home City Time and Date Settings: Detailed steps describe how to display the Home City Time (T-1) screen, hold [button-A] to enter setting mode, and use [button-C] to select settings (Seconds, City Code, Hour, Minutes, Day, Month, Year, 12/24-Hour Format, DST). Settings are adjusted using [adjust-button-plus] and [adjust-button-minus]. Press [button-A] to exit.

The day of the week is displayed automatically based on the date settings.

Daylight Saving Time (DST): DST advances the time setting by one hour from Standard Time. Not all areas use DST.

Press [button-A] to exit. The DST indicator appears when DST is on.

12/24-Hour Format: The 12-hour format shows a PM indicator for times from noon to 11:59 p.m. The 24-hour format displays times from 0:00 to 23:59 without an indicator. This format applies to all modes.

Changing the City Setting of a Local Time: In World Time Mode, display the local time to change, hold [button-A] for two seconds until the city code flashes. Use [east-button] and [west-button] to select a city code. Press [button-C] to display the DST setting and toggle between DST and Standard Time. Press [button-A] to exit.

Changing Your Home City Time: In Timekeeping Mode, display the Local Time to make your Home City Time. Press [button-A] and [button-B] simultaneously to make the selected Local Time your new Home City Time.

Illumination: An LED illuminates the display. Precautions include reduced visibility in direct sunlight, automatic turn-off during alarms, and battery drain with frequent use. Illumination: An LED illuminates the display for easy reading in the dark. Illumination Precautions: Visibility may be reduced in direct sunlight. Illumination automatically turns off when an alarm sounds. Frequent use drains the battery. To turn on illumination, press [light-button] in any mode (except setting screens). The illumination duration can be selected as 1.5 seconds or 3 seconds.

Alarms

Your watch has five alarms, configurable as daily or one-time alarms. Daily alarms sound at the preset time each day. One-time alarms sound once and are then disabled. An Hourly Time Signal causes the watch to beep twice every hour on the hour. All operations are performed in the Alarm Mode, entered by pressing [mode-button]. Alarms operate in coordination with the current Home City Time.

Press [button-A] to exit.

To use the countdown timer: Press [start-button] while in Countdown Timer Mode to start the countdown. The stopwatch measures elapsed time, split times, and two finishes. The display range is 23 hours, 59 minutes, 59.99 seconds. The stopwatch continues running, restarting from zero after reaching its limit, until stopped. Measurement continues even if the Stopwatch Mode is exited. Map and Digital Dial

Map: In Timekeeping and World Time modes, the map shows the zone of the currently displayed digital time. In Alarm, Timer, and Stopwatch modes, it shows the zone of the currently selected Home City Time (T-1).

Digital dial: In all modes, segments indicate the current Home City Time (T-1) hour, minute, and second.

Illustration: A watch face showing the map, digital dial, hour hand, minute hand, second hand, and a mute indicator.

Button Operation Tone

The button operation tone sounds whenever a button is pressed. It can be turned on or off. Even if turned off, alarms, Hourly Time Signal, and countdown alarms operate normally.

To turn the button operation tone on and off: In any mode (except setting screens), hold down [mute-toggle-button] to toggle the tone on (MUTE indicator not displayed) or off (MUTE indicator displayed). Holding down the button also changes the watch's current mode.

MUTE indicator: The MUTE indicator is displayed in all modes when the button operation tone is turned off.

Auto Return Features

If the watch is left in the Alarm Mode for two or three minutes without operation, it automatically changes to the Timekeeping Mode. If a screen with flashing digits is left for two or three minutes without operation, the watch automatically exits the setting screen.

Scrolling

The [scroll-east-button] and [scroll-west-button] buttons are used in various modes and setting screens to scroll through data. Holding these buttons during a scroll operation usually scrolls at high speed.

Initial Screens

When entering the World Time or Alarm Mode, the data viewed when last exiting the mode appears first.

Timekeeping

Resetting the seconds to 10 while the current count is between 30 and 59 increases the minutes by 1. In the range of 00 to 29, seconds reset to 10 without changing minutes. The year can be set from 2000 to 2099. The watch's full automatic calendar accounts for different month lengths and leap years.

World Time

The seconds count of the World Time is synchronized with the seconds count of the Timekeeping Mode. All World Time Mode times are calculated from the current Home City Time using UTC time offset values. UTC (Coordinated Universal Time) is the world-wide scientific standard of timekeeping, based on atomic clocks. Leap seconds are added or subtracted to keep UTC in sync with the Earth's rotation.

Auto Display

Auto Display continually changes the contents of the digital display.

To turn off Auto Display: Press any button to turn off Auto Display and return to the Timekeeping Mode.

To turn on Auto Display: In the Timekeeping Mode, hold down [auto-display-button] for about three seconds until the watch beeps. Auto Display cannot be performed while a setting screen is displayed.
