5. Setup and Installation
Follow these steps for a secure installation. It is recommended to have two people for installation, especially when mounting the display.
- Prepare the TV: Attach the pre-assembled mount brackets to the back of your television using the appropriate screws from the mounting hardware kit. Ensure the VESA holes on your TV match the mount's compatibility (50x50mm to 400x400mm). Make sure no connectors on the TV are covered by the mount.
- Mark Wall Drilling Points: Hold the wall plate of the mount against the desired position on your wall. Use a pencil to mark the drilling points through the holes on the wall plate. Use the included spirit level to ensure the marks are perfectly horizontal.
- Drill Holes: Drill holes at the marked points on the wall. The drill bit size will depend on the type of wall and the anchors you are using. Insert the appropriate wall anchors into the drilled holes.
- Mount Wall Plate: Securely screw the wall plate to the wall using the appropriate screws and washers from the hardware kit. Ensure it is firmly attached and level.
- Hang the TV: Carefully lift the television (with the attached brackets) and hook the brackets onto the wall plate. Ensure the TV is securely seated on the wall mount.
- Secure the TV: Use the safety screws or locking mechanisms (if present on your specific model) to secure the TV to the wall mount, preventing accidental dislodgement.

6. Operating
This wall mount features a fixed design with a tilting capability. Once the TV is mounted, you can adjust the tilt angle to achieve the optimal viewing experience. The tilt mechanism allows for a slight downward angle, which can help reduce glare from overhead lighting.
- Adjusting Tilt: Gently push or pull the bottom of the TV to adjust the tilt angle. The mount is designed for smooth, continuous adjustment within its specified range.
7. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safety of your wall mount.
- Cleaning: Wipe the mount with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Periodic Checks: Periodically check all screws and connections to ensure they remain tight and secure. Over time, vibrations or movement can cause screws to loosen.
- Damage Inspection: Inspect the mount for any signs of damage or wear. If any damage is found, discontinue use and contact customer support.
8. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues during or after installation, refer to these common solutions.
- TV Not Level: Ensure the wall plate is perfectly level before drilling. If the TV is already mounted, you may need to slightly adjust the wall plate or use shims if minor adjustments are needed. Re-check all connections.
- Mount Feels Loose: Re-tighten all screws securing the wall plate to the wall and the brackets to the TV. Ensure you are using appropriate anchors for your wall type.
- Difficulty Tilting: Check for any obstructions behind the TV. Ensure the tilt mechanism is not overtightened (if applicable) or damaged.
- Missing Parts: Refer to the 'Package Contents' section. If parts are missing, contact TecTake customer support immediately.
