2. Important Safety Information
Please read all instructions carefully before using your pressure cooker. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious injury or damage.
- Never force the lid open. Ensure all pressure is released before attempting to open the lid. The progressive lock system prevents opening before pressure is released.
- Do not fill the pressure cooker more than two-thirds full (2/3) for most foods, and no more than one-half full (1/2) for foods that expand during cooking, such as rice, legumes, or dried vegetables.
- Ensure the pressure cooker is properly closed and sealed before placing it on a heat source.
- Always check that the safety valves are clean and free from obstruction before each use.
- Do not use the pressure cooker for deep frying with oil.
- Keep children away from the pressure cooker during use.
- Use caution when moving the pressure cooker containing hot liquids or under pressure.
- The pressure cooker operates at a maximum regular pressure of 8 PSI.

4. Setup and First Use
4.1 Unpacking
Carefully remove all packaging materials and inspect the pressure cooker for any damage. Retain packaging for future storage or transport if needed.
4.2 Initial Cleaning
Before first use, wash all parts of the pressure cooker (pot body, lid, and gasket) with warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. Ensure all valves and openings are clear.
4.3 Assembly
Place the sealing gasket correctly inside the lid. Ensure the lid's locking mechanism and valves are clean and move freely.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Filling the Pressure Cooker
Add food and liquid to the pressure cooker. Observe the fill level markings engraved on the inner side of the pot. Do not exceed the 'MAX' line (2/3 full) for most foods, and the '1/2' line for foods that expand.

5.2 Closing the Lid
Align the lid with the pot body. Engage the progressive lock system by turning the top knob until the lid is securely fastened. Ensure the lid is fully closed and sealed before applying heat.

5.4 Pressure Build-up and Cooking
Place the closed pressure cooker on a suitable heat source. Begin with high heat until steam starts to escape from the operating valve. Once steam is steadily released, reduce the heat to maintain a gentle, consistent steam flow. Start timing your cooking from this point.
5.5 Pressure Release
Once cooking is complete, turn off the heat. There are generally two methods for pressure release:
- Natural Release: Allow the pressure cooker to cool down naturally. The pressure indicator will drop, and the lid will unlock automatically when it is safe to open. This method is ideal for foods that benefit from continued cooking.
- Quick Release (under cold water): For faster pressure release, carefully place the pressure cooker under cold running water, avoiding the lid's valves, until the pressure indicator drops and the lid unlocks. This method is suitable for delicate foods that can overcook quickly.
Always ensure all pressure is released before attempting to open the lid.
5.6 Cooking Time Guide
The following table provides approximate cooking times for common foods. These times are a guide and may vary based on food quantity, size, and desired doneness.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning
6.1 Cleaning After Each Use
After each use, allow the pressure cooker to cool completely. Wash the pot body and lid with warm soapy water. The pot body is dishwasher safe. Hand wash the lid, paying special attention to cleaning the valves and gasket to ensure they are free of food particles. Rinse thoroughly and dry all parts before storing.
6.2 Gasket Care
Inspect the rubber gasket regularly for cracks, hardening, or damage. Replace the gasket if it shows signs of wear to maintain a proper seal. Gaskets are consumable parts and may need replacement over time.
6.3 Storage
Store the pressure cooker with the lid inverted or slightly ajar to allow air circulation and prevent odors. Ensure it is stored in a dry place.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your pressure cooker, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- Problem: Pressure not building up.
Solution: Check if the lid is properly closed and sealed. Ensure the gasket is correctly seated and not damaged. Verify that the heat source is adequate and the operating valve is not clogged. - Problem: Steam escaping from around the lid.
Solution: This usually indicates an improper seal. Re-check the lid's closure, the gasket's position, and inspect the gasket for damage. Clean the rim of the pot and the lid. - Problem: Lid is difficult to open after cooking.
Solution: This means there is still pressure inside. Do not force it. Allow more time for natural pressure release or use the quick release method (under cold water) until the pressure indicator drops completely. - Problem: Food is undercooked.
Solution: Ensure sufficient liquid was added. Verify that the pressure was maintained for the correct duration. Increase cooking time if necessary for future use.
