Important Safety Instructions

WARNING: To reduce the risk of burns, electric shock, fire, and personal injury, this product must be used in accordance with the following instructions:

• Do not use while sleeping.
• Do not use on an infant.
• Do not use on a person with diabetes, paralysis, or sensitive skin.
• Do not use on a person who is unconscious or incapacitated.
• Do not use on areas of insensitive skin.
• Do not use with liniments, salves, or ointments, especially those containing heat-producing ingredients, as skin burns could result.
• Never pull this pad by the supply cord.
• Do not use pins or other metallic means to fasten this pad.
• Do not sit on, lean against, or crush the pad.
• Do not fold or crease the pad during use.
• Do not use this pad in an oxygen-enriched environment or near equipment that stores or emits oxygen.
• Always unplug the pad when not in use.
• Inspect the pad before each use. Discard if any signs of deterioration, such as cracking, blistering, or fraying, are evident.
• This pad is not intended for medical use in hospitals.
• Do not use this pad with a generator, power inverter, or DC to AC converter.

• Heating Pad: Soft fabric pad for heat or cold therapy.
• Detachable Controller: Allows selection of heat settings.
• Adjustable VELCRO® Brand Straps: For securing the pad to various body areas.
• Removable Hot/Cold Gel Pack: For cold therapy or portable heat therapy (without electrical connection).
• Power Cord: 9-foot cord for electrical connection.

Setup and Preparation

1. Unpack: Carefully remove the heating pad and all components from the packaging.
2. Inspect: Before first use, inspect the pad for any damage or defects. Do not use if damaged.
3. Connect Controller: Ensure the detachable controller is securely connected to the heating pad.
4. Positioning the Pad:
   • Place the heating pad on the desired body area.
   • Use the adjustable VELCRO® Brand straps to secure the pad comfortably. The straps can extend up to 70 inches.

5. Power Connection: Plug the 9-foot power cord into a standard electrical outlet.

Operating Instructions

A. Heat Therapy (Electric Use)

1. Power On: With the pad plugged in, press the power button on the detachable controller to turn the unit on.
2. Select Heat Setting: Use the control buttons to choose from the 5 available heat settings. Start with the lowest setting and gradually increase to a comfortable level.
3. Application: Apply the heated pad to the desired area. The pad is designed to conform to the body for effective heat transfer.
4. Auto-Off Feature: The heating pad features a 2-hour auto-off function for safety. The unit will automatically power down after approximately two hours of continuous use.
5. Power Off: To turn off manually, press the power button on the controller. Always unplug the unit from the electrical outlet when not in use.

B. Cold Therapy (Portable Use)

1. Prepare Gel Pack: Place the removable hot/cold gel pack in a freezer for at least 2 hours to chill thoroughly.
2. Insert Gel Pack: Open the pocket on the heating pad and insert the chilled gel pack.
3. Application: Secure the pad with the gel pack to the desired area using the VELCRO® Brand straps.
4. Duration: Use for recommended cold therapy durations. Do not apply cold therapy for extended periods without consulting a healthcare professional.

Care and Maintenance

• Cleaning the Pad: The soft fabric pad is fully machine washable.
  1. Disconnect the controller from the pad.
  2. Machine wash on a gentle cycle with mild detergent in cold water.
  3. Tumble dry on low heat or air dry. Ensure the pad is completely dry before reconnecting the controller and using.
  4. Do not bleach, iron, or dry clean the pad.
• Cleaning the Controller: Wipe the controller with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the controller in water.
• Storage: Store the heating pad in a cool, dry place. Do not wrap the cord tightly around the controller or pad, as this can damage the cord.
