Operation
This section details the basic operation of your SamplePad Pro.
1. Powering On/Off
After connecting the power adapter, press the POWER button located on the rear panel to turn the unit on. To power off, press the POWER button again.
2. Basic Navigation
The SamplePad Pro features a backlit LCD display and navigation buttons (UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT, OPTIONS, SAVE) to browse kits, select sounds, and adjust parameters. Use the arrow buttons to navigate menus and adjust values. The OPTIONS button accesses deeper settings, and SAVE stores your changes.
3. Playing Sounds
Strike the eight rubber pads to trigger sounds. The pads are velocity-sensitive, meaning the sound's dynamics will respond to how hard or soft you strike them. The blue LED illumination indicates pad activity.
4. Customizing Sounds and Kits
The SamplePad Pro comes with 10 preset drum kits and over 200 built-in sounds. You can customize these or create your own kits. Each sound offers individual access to parameters such as pitch, panning, and reverb. Refer to the full user guide for detailed instructions on sound editing.
5. Loading Custom Samples
With an SD card inserted, you can load up to 512 additional sounds and 89 custom kits. Connect the SamplePad Pro to your computer via USB to transfer WAV files to the SD card. The unit will then recognize these files for assignment to pads.

Troubleshooting
Here are solutions to common issues you might encounter:
- No Sound: Check power connection, volume levels (main, headphones, aux in), and audio cable connections. Ensure the correct kit is selected.
- Pads Not Responding: Verify the unit is powered on. Check pad sensitivity settings in the OPTIONS menu.
