Operating Instructions
Indiglo Night-Light
Your Timex Expedition Scout watch features the Indiglo night-light for illumination in low-light conditions. To activate, press and hold the crown. The entire dial will illuminate for a few seconds.
Water Resistance
This watch is water resistant to 50 meters (165 feet). This rating means it is suitable for short periods of recreational swimming and showering. It is not recommended for diving or prolonged submersion. Ensure the crown is fully pushed in before any contact with water.
Maintenance
Cleaning Your Watch
To clean your watch, wipe it with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, as these can damage the case, crystal, or strap. For the leather strap, avoid excessive moisture and direct sunlight to prevent damage and discoloration.
Battery Replacement
The watch uses one Lithium Metal battery. When the battery needs replacement, it is recommended to take your watch to an authorized Timex service center or a qualified jeweler. This ensures proper battery installation and maintenance of water resistance.

Troubleshooting
- Watch Not Running: Ensure the crown is fully pushed in. If the watch still does not run, the battery may need replacement.
- Indiglo Not Working: Check if the battery is low. A weak battery might not have enough power to activate the Indiglo feature.
- Inaccurate Timekeeping: If the watch consistently gains or loses significant time, it may require servicing.
For issues not resolved by these steps, please contact Timex customer support or visit an authorized service center.
