Setup Guide
Proper setup ensures effective operation of your PetSafe Pawz Away system. Follow these steps to prepare your receiver collar and barrier transmitter.
1. Unboxing and Components
Your PetSafe Pawz Away Extra Receiver Collar package includes:
- Receiver collar with nylon strap
- Two 3-Volt lithium batteries (CR2032)
- Test light tool
- Product manual

2. Battery Installation
The receiver collar uses two 3-Volt lithium batteries. To install or replace them, use the provided key to unlock the battery compartment on the collar module. Insert the batteries with the correct polarity as indicated.

3. Collar Fitting
Ensure the collar fits snugly around your pet's neck, allowing two fingers to fit comfortably between the strap and your pet's skin. The collar is designed for pets over 5 pounds with neck sizes ranging from 6 to 28 inches.
