Setup and Assembly
The Lasko 18" Stand Fan is designed for simple, no-tools assembly. Follow these steps to set up your fan:
- Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging. Ensure all components listed in the "Included Components" section are present.
- Assemble the Base: Attach the fan pole to the round base. Twist or secure according to the design until it is firm and stable.
- Attach the Stand Pole: Insert the adjustable stand pole into the base assembly. Ensure it is securely seated.
- Mount the Fan Head: Place the fan motor housing onto the top of the stand pole. Secure it using the provided locking mechanism or screw.
- Assemble Grills and Blades:
- Attach the rear grill to the motor housing.
- Mount the fan blades onto the motor shaft, securing them with the blade cap.
- Attach the front grill, ensuring it snaps securely into place with the rear grill.
- Adjust Height: Loosen the height adjustment collar on the stand pole, extend or retract the pole to your desired height, and then tighten the collar firmly.
- Positioning: Place the fan on a firm, level surface. Ensure there is adequate space around the fan for proper air circulation and oscillation.
Note: No tools are required for the assembly process.
Operating Instructions
Follow these steps to operate your Lasko Stand Fan:
- Power Connection: Plug the fan's power cord into a standard 120V AC electrical outlet. Ensure the outlet is in good condition and not overloaded.
- Turn On/Speed Selection: Locate the control knob on the fan's motor housing.
- Rotate the knob to select your desired speed setting:
- 0: Off
- 1: Low Speed
- 2: Medium Speed
- 3: High Speed
- Rotate the knob to select your desired speed setting:
- Oscillation Control: To activate the widespread oscillation feature, push down the oscillation knob located on top of the motor housing. To stop oscillation, pull the knob up.
- Tilt Adjustment: To adjust the vertical angle of the fan head, gently tilt the fan head up or down to direct airflow as needed. The fan head will hold its position.
- Turning Off: To turn off the fan, rotate the control knob to the "0" (Off) position. For extended periods of non-use, unplug the fan from the electrical outlet.
Maintenance and Care
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and efficient operation of your Lasko Stand Fan. Always unplug the fan before cleaning or performing any maintenance.
Cleaning:
