4.2 Initial Synchronization

After battery insertion, the clock will automatically attempt to receive the radio time signal (DCF77 in Europe). The hands will typically move to the 12 o'clock position and then begin searching for the signal. This process can take several minutes to several hours, depending on signal strength and location.

  • For best reception, place the clock near a window and away from electronic devices that may cause interference.
  • Avoid placing the clock near metal objects or in basements, which can obstruct the signal.
  • Once the signal is received, the clock will automatically set itself to the correct time, including adjusting for Daylight Saving Time (DST).

4.3 Manual Time Setting (If Automatic Fails)

If the clock does not synchronize automatically after an extended period (e.g., 24 hours), or if you are outside the reception range of the DCF77 signal, you may need to set the time manually.

  • Press and hold the SET button (refer to Figure 2) to manually advance the hands. Release the button when the desired time is reached.
  • The RESET button can be used to reset the clock's internal mechanism, which may be useful if the hands become misaligned.
  • The REC button can be pressed to initiate a manual search for the radio signal.

5. Operation

Once synchronized, the TFA 60.3511.10 Radio-Controlled Wall Clock operates automatically. It will continuously receive the time signal to ensure accurate timekeeping and will automatically adjust for Daylight Saving Time changes.

  • The clock features an analog display with clear numbers for easy readability.
  • The radio-controlled feature ensures precise time without the need for manual adjustments.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

To clean the clock, use a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these may damage the clock's finish or internal components.

6.2 Battery Replacement

Replace the battery when the clock hands stop moving or the time becomes inaccurate. Follow the battery installation steps outlined in Section 4.1.
