- Place the toothbrush handle onto the charging base. The charge indicator on the handle will show charging status.
Attaching the Brush Head
Align the brush head with the shaft of the toothbrush handle and push down until it clicks into place.
SmartGuide Setup
The included SmartGuide provides real-time guidance during brushing. Install batteries (if not pre-installed) and place it in a visible location in your bathroom. The SmartGuide will automatically pair with your toothbrush when both are powered on and in close proximity.
3. Operating Instructions
Powering On/Off
Press the power button on the handle to turn the toothbrush on or off.
Selecting Cleaning Modes
The toothbrush offers 5 cleaning modes. Press the mode button to cycle through the available modes:
- Daily Clean: Standard daily cleaning for everyday plaque removal.
- Deep Clean: Extended brushing time for a thorough clean, reaching 2x deeper between teeth.
- Sensitive: Gentle cleaning for sensitive areas, gums, or after dental procedures.
- Whitening: Designed to polish and remove surface stains for naturally whiter teeth.
- Massage: Gentle gum stimulation for improved gum health.
Pressure Sensor
The visible pressure sensor lights up red if you are brushing too hard. Reduce pressure to protect your gums and teeth from excessive force. The pulsation will also stop when too much pressure is applied.
Professional Timer
The built-in timer signals after 2 minutes of brushing, indicating the dentist-recommended brushing time. For Deep Clean mode, the timer is set for 3 minutes. The SmartGuide also provides quadrant guidance, prompting you to move to a different section of your mouth every 30 seconds (or 45 seconds in Deep Clean mode).
4. Maintenance
Cleaning the Toothbrush
After each use, rinse the brush head thoroughly under running water with the handle switched on. Detach the brush head and clean both the handle and the brush head separately. Wipe the handle with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the charger in water.
Replacing the Brush Head
Replace the brush head every 3 months, or sooner if the Indicator bristles fade halfway or appear worn. Worn bristles can reduce cleaning effectiveness.
Charging
For optimal performance, keep the toothbrush charged on its base when not in use. The battery life may decrease over time, requiring more frequent charging. The toothbrush is designed to be portable, allowing you to remove it from the charging base for travel, but it will need to be recharged regularly.
5. Troubleshooting
- Red Light Activates Frequently: This indicates you are applying too much pressure. Reduce the force when brushing to protect your gums and teeth.
- Toothbrush Not Holding Charge: Over time, rechargeable batteries can lose capacity. Ensure the toothbrush is properly seated on the charging base. If the issue persists after prolonged use, the battery may be at the end of its lifespan.
- SmartGuide Display Issues: Check the batteries in the SmartGuide. Replace them if necessary. Ensure the SmartGuide is within range of the toothbrush for proper communication.
- Damaged or Leaking SmartGuide Batteries: Some users have reported issues with included SmartGuide batteries being corroded or leaking upon arrival. If this occurs, safely dispose of the damaged batteries and replace them with new ones. Contact customer support if the SmartGuide itself appears damaged.
