The Moen Orivesi faucet combines modern aesthetics with practical functionality. It features a high-arc spout, a pull-down spray wand with the Reflex system for smooth retraction, and Power Boost technology for enhanced water flow. This faucet is designed for durability and ease of use in your kitchen.

Setup and Installation

Before You Begin

  • Ensure all necessary components are present: Kitchen faucet, deck plate (optional), flexible supply lines with 3/8" compression fittings, and instruction manual.
  • Required tools (not included): Adjustable wrench, Phillips screwdriver, plumber's putty or silicone sealant, safety glasses.
  • Turn off the main water supply to your kitchen.
  • Clear the area under the sink for easy access.

Installation Steps

  1. Prepare the Mounting Surface: The faucet can be installed through 1 or 3 holes. If using a 3-hole sink, place the optional deck plate over the holes before installing the faucet. Apply plumber's putty or silicone sealant around the base of the faucet or deck plate to create a watertight seal.

  3. Mount the Faucet: Insert the faucet body through the hole(s) in the sink or deck plate. From underneath the sink, secure the faucet using the provided mounting hardware (washer and mounting nut). Tighten firmly but do not overtighten.
  4. Connect Water Supply Lines: Attach the flexible supply lines to your hot and cold water shut-off valves. Use an adjustable wrench to tighten connections, ensuring they are secure but not overtightened.
  5. Connect Spray Hose: The Duralock quick connect system allows for easy, tool-free connection of the spray hose. Push the spray hose connector firmly onto the corresponding fitting until it clicks into place. Gently pull to ensure a secure connection.
  6. Duralock Quick Connect System for Moen Faucet

  7. Install Weight: Attach the hose weight to the pull-down hose at the indicated position (typically 6-8 inches from the bottom of the loop) to ensure proper retraction of the spray wand.
  8. Test for Leaks: Turn on the main water supply and check all connections for leaks. Run the faucet for a few minutes to flush out any debris and check for proper hot and cold water flow.

Operating Instructions

Water Flow and Temperature Control

The single handle controls both water flow and temperature. Lift the handle to increase water flow. Move the handle left for hot water and right for cold water.

Pull-Down Spray Wand

To use the pull-down spray wand, simply pull it down from the spout. The flexible hose allows for extended reach and maneuverability. The Reflex system ensures smooth operation and secure docking of the spray head when not in use.

Maintenance

Cleaning the Faucet

To maintain the chrome finish, clean your faucet regularly with a soft cloth and mild soap. Avoid abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, or scouring pads, as these can damage the finish. Rinse thoroughly with water after cleaning and dry with a soft cloth.

Aerator Maintenance

If water flow decreases, the aerator may be clogged. Unscrew the aerator from the tip of the spout, clean any debris or mineral deposits, and then reattach it. For stubborn deposits, soak the aerator in a vinegar solution.
