2.3 Battery Information

The watch is powered by one product-specific battery, which is included and pre-installed. When the battery requires replacement, it is advisable to seek professional service to ensure proper sealing and maintain water resistance.

3. Operating the Chronograph

The Vestal ZR-3 features a 6-hand chronograph for measuring elapsed time. The chronograph functions are controlled by the two pushers located on either side of the crown.

3.1 Starting and Stopping the Chronograph

  1. Press the upper pusher (A) to start the chronograph. The chronograph second hand will begin to move.
  2. Press the upper pusher (A) again to stop the chronograph. The elapsed time will be indicated by the chronograph hands.

3.2 Resetting the Chronograph

  1. Ensure the chronograph is stopped (if it is running, press the upper pusher (A) once).
  2. Press the lower pusher (B) to reset the chronograph. All chronograph hands will return to their zero positions.

3.3 Water Resistance

This watch is water resistant to 100 meters (330 feet). This makes it suitable for snorkeling and swimming. It is not suitable for diving. Ensure the crown is fully pushed in before exposing the watch to water. Do not operate the pushers or crown while the watch is wet or submerged.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning

To maintain the appearance of your watch, wipe the case and band with a soft, dry cloth regularly. For stainless steel components, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by immediate drying. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.

4.2 Battery Replacement

When the watch stops running, the battery may need replacement. It is strongly recommended to have the battery replaced by an authorized service center or a professional watchmaker. This ensures the correct battery type is used and the watch's water resistance is maintained through proper re-sealing.

4.3 General Care

  • Avoid exposing the watch to extreme temperatures (hot or cold) or sudden temperature changes.
  • Protect the watch from strong impacts or shocks.
  • Keep the watch away from strong magnetic fields, which can affect timekeeping accuracy.

5. Troubleshooting

5.1 Watch Not Running

  • Check the crown: Ensure the crown is fully pushed in to position 1. If it is pulled out, the watch will not run.
  • Battery: The battery may be depleted. Refer to Section 4.2 for battery replacement.

5.2 Chronograph Hands Not Resetting to Zero

If the chronograph hands do not return to their zero positions after pressing the lower pusher (B), a recalibration may be necessary. This procedure varies by movement; consult a professional watch technician for assistance.

5.3 Water Inside the Watch

If you notice condensation or water inside the watch, immediately stop using it and take it to an authorized service center. Water ingress can cause significant damage to the movement.
