Setup and Assembly

  1. Determine Required Length: Assess the distance and complexity of the path where the wire needs to be run.
  2. Connect Rods: Select the appropriate number of 3-foot fiberglass rods. Each rod features an interlocking end. Align the ends and push them firmly together to create a secure connection. Repeat until the desired length, up to 15 feet, is achieved.
  3. Attach End Tip: Choose either the bullet nose attachment or the hook end attachment based on your task.
    • Bullet Nose: Use for guiding the stick smoothly through conduits or tight spaces, pushing wires.
    • Hook End: Use for pulling wires, or for retrieving wires from difficult-to-reach areas.
Securely screw the chosen attachment onto the end of the assembled fish stick.
  4. Charge Glow Feature: For optimal visibility in dark environments, expose the Glo Fish Sticks to a light source (natural or artificial) for a few minutes before use. The luminescent fiberglass will absorb light and glow in the dark.

Operating Instructions

The Glo Fish Sticks are designed for efficient wire pulling and pushing in various applications. Always ensure the work area is clear and safe before beginning.

  1. Identify Path: Determine the entry and exit points for the wire run.
  2. Insert Fish Stick: Carefully insert the assembled fish stick into the wall, ceiling, or floor cavity. Use the glow feature to monitor its path and avoid obstructions.

  3. Attach Wire: Once the fish stick reaches the desired location, attach the wire to be pulled or pushed. If using the hook end, loop the wire securely. If using the bullet nose for pushing, tape the wire to the tip if necessary.
  4. Pull/Push Wire: Gently pull or push the fish stick back, guiding the wire through the cavity. Avoid excessive force to prevent damage to the stick or the wire.
  5. Disassemble: After use, disconnect the rods and attachments for storage.
