4. Setup
4.1 Unpacking
Carefully unpack your EUROLIVE B115MP3 speaker system. Inspect the unit for any signs of damage that may have occurred during transit. If damage is found, contact your dealer immediately.
4.2 Placement
The B115MP3 can be used in various configurations:
- Pole Mounting: Use the integrated 35-mm pole socket to mount the speaker on a standard speaker stand. Ensure the stand is stable and capable of supporting the speaker's weight (approximately 20.5 kg / 45.15 lbs).
- Floor Monitor: The trapezoidal design allows the speaker to be tilted on its side for use as a floor monitor, directing sound towards performers.
- Tabletop: For smaller applications, the speaker can be placed on a stable, flat surface.
4.3 Power Connection
Connect the supplied power cord to the AC inlet on the rear panel of the speaker and then to a suitable power outlet. Ensure the power switch is in the "OFF" position before connecting to power.
4.4 Audio Connections
The B115MP3 features multiple input options:
- Mic/Line Inputs: Use XLR or 1/4" TRS cables to connect microphones, mixers, or other audio sources to the dedicated input channels.
- USB Input: Insert a USB stick containing MP3 audio files into the USB port for direct playback.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Powering On/Off
- Ensure all volume controls are set to minimum before powering on.
- Flip the power switch to the "ON" position. The power indicator LED will illuminate.
- To power off, set all volume controls to minimum, then flip the power switch to "OFF".
5.2 Adjusting Volume and EQ
Use the individual volume controls for each input channel to set the desired level. The 2-band EQ (Bass and Treble) allows you to fine-tune the speaker's frequency response to suit your environment and audio source.
5.3 MP3 Playback via USB
- Insert a USB stick (formatted as FAT16 or FAT32) containing MP3 files into the USB port.
- Use the controls on the MP3 player section (Play/Pause, Next/Previous Track, Mode) to navigate and play your audio files.
- Ensure the MP3 player's volume is adjusted appropriately using its dedicated control.
Note: The integrated MP3 player supports standard MP3 audio files. Other formats (e.g., Apple files, Rhapsody files) may not be compatible.
6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Disconnect the speaker from power before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe down the exterior. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosols.
- Storage: If storing the speaker for an extended period, keep it in a dry, dust-free environment, preferably in its original packaging or a protective cover.
- Ventilation: Ensure ventilation openings are clear of dust and debris to prevent overheating.
