Setup

Follow these steps to set up your MDA200 Communications Hub:

1. Connect to Desk Phone: Disconnect your desk phone's handset coil cord from the phone base. Connect this cord to the designated port on the MDA200 hub. Then, connect the short cord from the MDA200 hub to the handset port on your desk phone.
2. Connect USB Headset: Plug your Plantronics corded or wireless USB headset into the USB port on the MDA200 hub.
3. Connect to PC: Connect the integrated USB cable from the MDA200 hub to an available USB port on your computer. The hub is plug-and-play and should be recognized by your operating system automatically.

Call Management

• Answering/Ending Calls:

  To answer an incoming call or end an active call, press the large call control button on the MDA200 hub. This button typically has a phone icon. For desk phone calls, you may also need to lift the handset off the hook or use an Electronic Hook Switch (EHS) cable if supported by your phone and headset.

• Switching Between Desk Phone and PC Calls:

  The MDA200 allows seamless switching. If you are on a desk phone call and receive a PC call (e.g., from Skype for Business), press the PC call button on the hub to switch. The desk phone call will be put on hold. To switch back, press the desk phone button. The large buttons on the hub illuminate to indicate the active line.
• Using with Mobile Phone (via Bluetooth USB Headset):

  When using a Bluetooth USB headset (e.g., Plantronics Voyager PRO UC) connected to the MDA200, you can manage calls from your mobile phone. The hub acts as a central point, allowing your headset to connect to your mobile device via Bluetooth while still managing PC and desk phone calls through the hub.

• Returning to Handset:

  If you wish to use your desk phone's physical handset instead of the headset, ensure the MDA200's desk phone connection is deactivated. Press the large phone button on the MDA200 until its indicator light turns off. You can then pick up your desk phone's handset to make or receive calls directly.
