This manual provides detailed instructions for the proper use and care of your Casio AQS800W Series Analog Digital Solar Watch. This watch combines analog and digital displays, is solar-powered, water-resistant, and features multiple functions including a stopwatch, countdown timer, and alarms.
Watch Components
Familiarize yourself with the main components of your watch:
- Display: Analog hands for hour/minute and digital display for various functions.
- Buttons:
- ADJUST: Used for setting time and other functions.
- MODE: Cycles through different watch modes (Timekeeping, World Time, Alarm, Timer, Stopwatch).
- LIGHT: Activates the LED backlight for the digital display.
- SEARCH: Used for selecting cities in World Time mode or other search functions.
- Solar Panel: Integrated into the watch face for charging the internal battery.

Setup
1. Initial Charging
Your watch is equipped with a solar charging system. Before initial use, or if the battery level is low, expose the watch face to light for several hours. Direct sunlight is most effective, but indoor fluorescent light can also charge the watch. Avoid extreme heat during charging.
2. Setting the Home City and Time
- In Timekeeping Mode, hold down the ADJUST button until the city code starts to flash.
- Use the SEARCH button to select your desired Home City code.
- Press the MODE button to cycle through the settings (DST, 12/24-hour format, seconds, hour, minute, year, month, day).
- Use the ADJUST or SEARCH buttons to change the flashing value.
- Once all settings are correct, press the ADJUST button to exit the setting screen. The analog hands will automatically adjust to match the digital time.
3. Adjusting Analog Hands (if misaligned)
If the analog hands do not match the digital time after setting, you can manually adjust them:
- In Timekeeping Mode, hold down the ADJUST button until the city code starts to flash.
- Press the MODE button repeatedly until the hand setting screen appears (usually indicated by "H.SET" or similar).
- Use the ADJUST or SEARCH buttons to move the analog hands to the correct time.
- Press the ADJUST button to exit.
Operating Modes
Use the MODE button to cycle through the following functions:
- Timekeeping Mode: Displays current time, day, and date.
- World Time Mode: Displays the current time in 31 time zones (48 cities).
- To select a city: In World Time Mode, use the SEARCH button to scroll through city codes.
- Alarm Mode: Set up to 5 daily alarms and an hourly time signal.
- To set an alarm: In Alarm Mode, use ADJUST to select an alarm number, then MODE to select hour/minute, and SEARCH to change values. Press ADJUST to confirm.
- Countdown Timer Mode: Set a countdown from 1 minute up to 100 minutes.
- To set the timer: In Timer Mode, hold ADJUST, then use SEARCH to set the time. Press ADJUST to confirm. Press MODE to start/stop.
- Stopwatch Mode: Measures elapsed time, split times, and two finishes. Measures up to 1/100th of a second.
- To use: In Stopwatch Mode, press MODE to start/stop. Press ADJUST to reset.
Using the LED Light
Press the LIGHT button to illuminate the digital display. The duration of the illumination can be set in Timekeeping Mode settings.

Maintenance
1. Charging Guidelines
- To maintain optimal battery charge, expose the watch to light regularly.
- Avoid prolonged storage in dark places.
- The watch features a battery level indicator (Low, Mid, High) accessible via the MODE button.
2. Cleaning
- Wipe the watch with a soft, dry cloth.
- For water-resistant models, you can rinse with fresh water after exposure to saltwater or dirt, then dry thoroughly.
- Avoid using chemical cleaners or solvents.
3. Water Resistance
This watch is water-resistant up to 100 meters (330 feet), suitable for swimming and snorkeling. Do not operate buttons while the watch is wet or submerged to prevent water ingress.

Troubleshooting
- Watch not displaying time/functions: Ensure the watch is adequately charged by exposing it to bright light. Check the battery level indicator.
- Analog hands not matching digital time: Perform the manual analog hand adjustment procedure described in the Setup section.
- Buttons unresponsive: Ensure the watch is not in a locked mode (if applicable) or that it is not wet. If issues persist, a full reset may be required (refer to the full user manual for specific reset procedures).
- Inaccurate time: Verify the Home City and DST settings are correct for your region.
