Setup
Battery Installation
Each Nerf Walkie Talkie requires one 9V battery (not included). A Phillips head screwdriver is needed to open the battery compartment.
- Locate the battery compartment on the back of the walkie-talkie.
- Using a Phillips head screwdriver, unscrew the small screw securing the battery compartment cover.
- Carefully remove the cover.
- Insert one 9V battery, ensuring the polarity (+/-) matches the diagram inside the compartment.
- Replace the battery compartment cover and secure it with the screw. Do not overtighten.

Operating Instructions
Power On/Off
To turn the walkie-talkie ON or OFF, locate the power switch on the right side of the device. Slide the switch to the 'ON' position to power on, and to the 'OFF' position to power off.

Communication (Push-to-Talk)
To speak to another walkie-talkie user:
- Ensure both walkie-talkies are powered ON.
- Press and hold the large orange Push-to-Talk (PTT) button located on the left side of the walkie-talkie.
- Speak clearly into the speaker grille on the front of the walkie-talkie.
- Release the PTT button when you are finished speaking to allow the other person to respond.

Morse Code Function
The walkie-talkies include a Morse code button for sending coded messages.
- Press the circular button on the front of the walkie-talkie to activate the Morse code beeps.
- Use short and long presses to create Morse code signals.

Range
The Nerf Walkie Talkies have a maximum talking range of approximately 1000 feet (305 meters) in open outdoor environments. Obstacles such as buildings, trees, and terrain can reduce the effective range.
Maintenance
