3. Setup
- Unfold the Gameboard: Place the gameboard on a flat surface. Carefully set up the pop-up castle in the center of the board.
- Separate Cards: Shuffle the 28 Attraction Deed Cards and place them face down in their designated spaces on the board. Shuffle the 32 Game Cards (Magic Mirror and Sorcerers Hat) and place them face down on their respective spaces.
- Banker Selection: Each player rolls the dice. The player with the highest roll becomes the Banker. The Banker is responsible for managing the bank's money, properties, houses, and castles. The Banker may also play, but must keep their personal funds separate from the bank's.
- Initial Funds: The Banker distributes starting money to each player. Refer to the specific game rules for the exact starting amount and denominations.
- Choose Tokens: Each player selects one of the 8 collectible Disney game pieces to represent them on the board.
- Place Houses and Castles: Place the Mickey's Toontown Houses and Disney Castles near the board, ready for purchase.
- Starting Position: All players place their chosen game piece on the "GO" space.
4. Gameplay
The game proceeds in turns, with players rolling the dice and moving their token around the board. The objective is to become the wealthiest player by buying, renting, and selling properties, ultimately driving opponents into bankruptcy.
Player Turn Sequence:
- Roll Dice: Roll both dice and move your token clockwise around the board the number of spaces indicated.
- Action on Space: The action you take depends on the space you land on:
- Unowned Attraction: You may buy the Attraction Deed from the Bank for the price printed on the board. If you choose not to buy it, the Banker immediately offers it for auction to the highest bidder.
- Owned Attraction: Pay rent to the owner according to the Attraction Deed Card.
- Magic Mirror or Sorcerers Hat: Draw the top card from the respective pile and follow its instructions.
- Go: Passing or landing on "GO" collects 200 Wishes from the Bank.
- Jail: Landing on "Go to Jail" sends you directly to Jail. You do not collect 200 Wishes if passing "GO".
- Free Parking, Just Visiting: No action required.
- Doubles: If you roll doubles, take your turn as usual, then roll the dice again for another turn. Three consecutive doubles send you to Jail.
- Buying Houses and Castles: Once you own all Attraction Deeds in a color group, you can buy Mickey's Toontown Houses and Disney Castles to increase rent. Houses must be built evenly across properties in a color group.
- Selling Properties: Properties, houses, and castles can be sold back to the Bank or traded with other players.
Winning the Game:
The last player remaining in the game after all others have gone bankrupt is the winner.
