2. Setup and Installation
The Try DryBag is designed for easy and secure attachment to your bicycle's stem and top tube. Follow these steps for proper installation:
- Prepare the Bag: Ensure all straps are unfastened and ready for attachment.
- Position the Bag: Place the bag on the top tube of your bicycle, positioning it directly behind the stem. The front strap should align with the head tube, and the main straps with the top tube.
- Attach to Top Tube: Secure the two main hook-and-loop straps around the top tube. Ensure the top tube diameter is within the compatible range of φ38-52mm. Tighten these straps firmly to prevent movement.
- Attach to Head Tube/Stem: Secure the front hook-and-loop strap around the head tube or stem. The compatible head tube diameter is φ34-75mm. Adjust this strap to ensure the bag is stable and does not interfere with steering.
- Verify Stability: Gently shake the bag to confirm it is securely fastened and does not wobble. Ensure it does not obstruct your pedaling motion or handling of the bicycle.

4. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and performance of your Try DryBag, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth and mild soap if necessary. Rinse thoroughly with clean water and allow to air dry completely before storage. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Waterproof Care: The bag features a waterproof nylon construction with ultrasonic welding. While it is designed to protect contents from rain and splashes, it is not designed for submersion. Avoid submerging the bag in water.
- Storage: Store the bag in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use.
- Strap Inspection: Periodically check the hook-and-loop straps for wear and tear. Replace if they show signs of significant damage to ensure secure attachment.
5. Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your Try DryBag, consider the following:
- Bag Interferes with Knees During Pedaling: This can occur on bicycles with very narrow top tubes or during aggressive riding (e.g., dancing out of the saddle). Ensure the bag is positioned as far forward as possible without obstructing steering. If interference persists, consider adjusting your riding style or the type of items stored to reduce bulk.
- Bag Feels Loose or Wobbles: Re-check all hook-and-loop straps. Ensure they are tightened firmly around both the top tube and the head tube/stem. The bag's design relies on a snug fit for stability.
- Difficulty Opening/Closing Lid Due to Stem Interference: If the bag's lid interferes with the stem when opening or closing, slightly loosen the head tube/stem strap and reposition the bag minimally to create clearance. Re-tighten all straps securely.
- Contents Getting Wet: While the bag is waterproof, it is not submersible. Ensure the lid is fully closed and sealed with the hook-and-loop fastener. Avoid exposing the bag to prolonged heavy downpours or direct high-pressure water streams.
