2. Safety Information

Important Safety Instructions:

  • Always disconnect the power supply before performing any maintenance or cleaning.
  • Ensure the electrical installation complies with local regulations and standards. The unit operates on 220-240V.
  • This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
  • Do not dispose of foreign objects such as wet wipes, sanitary products, cotton swabs, or excessive amounts of toilet paper into the toilet, as this can cause blockages and damage the macerator.
  • Do not use corrosive chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the unit's components and ceramic surfaces.
  • Ensure proper ventilation in the installation area.
  • If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified persons to avoid a hazard.

  • Install the supplied non-return valve to prevent backflow.

3.4 Electrical Connection

  • The unit requires a 220-240V electrical supply.

  • The Eco+ flush system uses between 1.8 to 3 liters of water per flush, optimizing water consumption while ensuring effective cleaning.
  • The integrated macerator will activate automatically to grind and pump the waste. The unit operates at a maximum noise level of 51 dB, ensuring relatively quiet operation.

4.2 Hand Wash Basin Operation

If a hand wash basin is connected to the Sanicompact Pro, its wastewater will be automatically processed by the macerator when the toilet is flushed or when the basin is used.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and hygienic operation of your SFA Sanicompact Pro.

5.1 Cleaning the Toilet

  • The ceramic bowl features an anti-limescale coating for easier cleaning.
  • Use mild, non-abrasive cleaning agents specifically designed for toilets. Avoid harsh chemicals, bleach, or abrasive pads, as these can damage the ceramic and internal components.
  • The antibacterial toilet seat is clip-on and soft-close, allowing for easy removal for thorough cleaning. To remove, gently unclip the seat from its hinges.
  • Clean the exterior of the unit with a damp cloth and mild detergent.

5.2 Macerator Maintenance

The macerator is largely maintenance-free under normal use, provided that only human waste and toilet paper are flushed.

  • Do not flush foreign objects such as:
    • Wet wipes (even "flushable" ones)
    • Sanitary products (pads, tampons)
    • Cotton balls, swabs
    • Dental floss
    • Hair
    • Grease, oil, or food waste
    • Chemicals or solvents
  • For descaling, use a descaling product specifically designed for macerating units. Follow the product instructions carefully.

6. Troubleshooting

Before contacting customer support, please refer to the following common issues and solutions. Always disconnect the power supply before attempting any inspection or repair.

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Unit does not start or flush. No power supply; electrical fault; motor obstruction.Check power connection and circuit breaker. Ensure the unit is plugged in. If power is present, disconnect power and inspect for obstructions in the macerator blades (professional assistance recommended).
Unit runs continuously or cycles frequently.Non-return valve faulty; leak in the system; foreign object preventing proper closure.Check the non-return valve for proper function. Inspect all connections for leaks. Disconnect power and check for obstructions.
Unusual noise during operation.Foreign object in the macerator; worn motor bearings.Immediately disconnect power. Inspect for foreign objects. If noise persists after clearing, contact service.
Poor flushing performance or slow drainage.Partial blockage; limescale buildup; insufficient water pressure.Ensure only appropriate waste is flushed. Use a macerator-safe descaler. Check water supply pressure.
Leakage from the unit.Loose connections; damaged seals; cracked housing.Disconnect power and water supply. Inspect all plumbing connections and seals. Tighten any loose fittings. If damage is visible, contact service.

Tip from users: To prevent blockages, especially with larger waste, it is recommended to "flush early, flush often." This means activating the flush button as soon as possible after use to ensure efficient maceration and evacuation.
