Westclox LCD Digital Bedside Alarm Clock

Introduction

This compact and stylish alarm clock is designed for convenience and reliability, featuring a clear blue backlit display, a simple alarm function with snooze, and battery-powered flexibility for placement anywhere in your home. Please read this manual carefully to ensure proper operation and to get the most out of your new clock.

Setup

1. Battery Installation

1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the clock.
2. Open the battery compartment cover.
3. Insert two (2) AAA batteries (not included) according to the polarity indicators (+ and -) inside the compartment.
4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

Note: Always use fresh batteries. Remove batteries if the clock will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.

2. Initial Time Setting

1. Locate the control switches on the top of the clock. You will see "HOUR", "MINUTE" buttons and a "SET / TIME RUN ALARM" slide switch.
2. Slide the "SET / TIME RUN ALARM" switch to the SET position. The time display will begin to flash.
3. Press the HOUR button repeatedly to set the current hour. Pay attention to the PM indicator (if present on your model) for correct AM/PM setting.
4. Press the MINUTE button repeatedly to set the current minute.
5. Once the correct time is set, slide the "SET / TIME RUN ALARM" switch back to the TIME position to save the time and resume normal operation.

Operating Instructions

1. Setting the Alarm Time

1. Slide the "SET / TIME RUN ALARM" switch to the ALARM position. The alarm time will be displayed and may flash.
2. Press the HOUR button repeatedly to set the desired alarm hour.
3. Press the MINUTE button repeatedly to set the desired alarm minute.
4. Once the alarm time is set, slide the "SET / TIME RUN ALARM" switch back to the TIME position. The alarm icon (often a bell or "AL") will appear on the display, indicating the alarm is set.

2. Turning the Alarm On/Off

• To turn the alarm ON: Locate the "ALARM ON / OFF" slide switch on the top right of the clock. Slide it to the ON position. The alarm icon will be visible on the display.
• To turn the alarm OFF: Slide the "ALARM ON / OFF" switch to the OFF position. The alarm icon will disappear from the display.

3. Snooze / Light Function

• When the alarm sounds, press the large SNOOZE / LIGHT button located on the front of the clock. The alarm will temporarily stop and sound again after approximately 4 minutes.
• To activate the blue backlight for 5 seconds, press the SNOOZE / LIGHT button at any time when the alarm is not sounding. This is useful for checking the time in the dark.

Maintenance

Cleaning

To clean your clock, gently wipe the surface with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or chemical sprays, as these may damage the finish or internal components. Avoid getting moisture into the clock's openings.

Battery Replacement

When the display becomes dim or the alarm function weakens, it is time to replace the batteries. Follow the "Battery Installation" steps in the Setup section to replace the two AAA batteries. Dispose of old batteries responsibly according to local regulations.
