Setup

  1. Unpack and Inspect: Carefully unpack the UPS and all accessories. Inspect for any shipping damage.
  2. Connect Internal Battery: The UPS battery may be disconnected for shipping. Refer to the battery compartment access panel (usually at the bottom or rear) and connect the battery terminals as indicated.
  3. Position the UPS: Place the UPS in a location with adequate ventilation, away from direct sunlight, excessive heat, or moisture. Ensure the front and rear vents are unobstructed.
  4. Connect to Wall Outlet: Plug the UPS power cord directly into a grounded 230V wall outlet. Avoid using extension cords or surge protectors with the UPS input.
  5. Initial Charge: Allow the UPS to charge for at least 24 hours before connecting any equipment to ensure maximum battery runtime. The battery indicator on the LCD will show charging status.
  6. Connect Equipment:
    • Plug critical equipment (e.g., computer, monitor, router) into the Battery Backup & Surge Protected outlets.
    • Plug non-critical equipment (e.g., printer, scanner) into the Surge Only outlets.
  7. Connect Data Lines (Optional): Connect your USB communication cable from the UPS to your computer to enable power management software features. Connect network cables to the Ethernet protection ports if desired.
