5. Setup

6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Playing a Record
- Power On: Turn the Power/Volume knob clockwise to turn on the unit.
- Select Speed: Set the speed selector switch to the appropriate speed for your record (33-1/3, 45, or 78 RPM). For 45 RPM records, place the included 45 RPM adapter on the spindle.
- Place Record: Carefully place your record on the turntable platter.
- Remove Stylus Guard: Gently remove the clear plastic stylus guard from the stylus.
- Position Tonearm: Manually lift the tonearm and move it over the desired starting track of the record.
- Lower Tonearm: Carefully lower the tonearm onto the record. The platter will begin to rotate and playback will start.
- Adjust Volume: Adjust the volume using the Power/Volume knob.
- End of Playback: At the end of the record, the tonearm will not automatically return. Manually lift the tonearm and return it to its rest. Turn the Power/Volume knob counter-clockwise to turn off the unit.
6.2 USB Encoding (Converting Vinyl to MP3)
The ITUT-400 includes easy-to-use recording software to convert your vinyl records to digital MP3 files. Refer to the separate software manual or instructions provided with the software for detailed installation and usage.
