Setup and Dual Voltage Operation
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the iron from its packaging. Retain packaging for storage or future transport.
- Voltage Selection: The iron features worldwide dual voltage capability (110V/220V). Locate the voltage selector switch on the back of the iron.
- Setting Voltage:
- For use in North America (USA, Canada) and other 110-120V regions, ensure the switch is set to 110V.
- For use in Europe and other 220-240V regions, ensure the switch is set to 220V.
Important: Always verify the local voltage requirements before plugging in the iron and adjust the switch accordingly. Failure to do so may damage the appliance.
- Adapter Requirement: Depending on your travel destination, a plug adapter may be required to fit the local electrical outlet. This iron does not convert voltage, only adapts to it.

Operating Instructions
- Preparation: Ensure the garment is suitable for ironing. For delicate fabrics, test on an inconspicuous area first. This iron does not produce steam; for a "steam press" effect, lightly mist the garment with water using a separate spray bottle.
- Plug In: After setting the correct voltage, plug the iron into a suitable electrical outlet. The iron will begin to heat immediately as there is no on/off switch.
- Heating Time: Allow approximately one minute for the iron to reach its operating temperature of 300°F (150°C).
- Ironing: Place the garment on a heat-resistant surface (e.g., an ironing board or a towel placed on a flat surface). Gently glide the iron over the fabric to remove wrinkles. Apply light pressure.
- Completion: Once ironing is complete, immediately unplug the iron from the electrical outlet.
- Cool Down: Allow the iron to cool completely before storing. The handle may become warm during extended use; exercise caution.
Maintenance and Care
- Cleaning the Soleplate: Ensure the iron is unplugged and completely cool. Wipe the soleplate with a damp cloth and a mild, non-abrasive cleaner if necessary. Do not use harsh scouring pads or metallic cleaners.
- Cleaning the Exterior: Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
- Storage: Once the iron is completely cool, store it in a dry, safe place. Loop the power cord loosely around the iron; do not wrap it tightly as this can damage the cord.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Iron does not heat up. | Not plugged in; incorrect voltage setting; power outlet issue. | Ensure the iron is securely plugged into a working outlet. Verify the voltage selector switch is set correctly for your region. Check the circuit breaker. |
| Iron handle gets very hot during use. | This is a characteristic of the compact design and lack of advanced insulation. | Exercise caution during extended use. If discomfort occurs, allow the iron to cool down before continuing. Use a heat-resistant glove if necessary. |
| Wrinkles are not fully removed. | Fabric type; insufficient heat application; no steam. | Ensure the iron has reached full temperature. For stubborn wrinkles, lightly mist the garment with water before ironing. Apply slightly more pressure and iron slowly. |
