Safety Warnings
READ AND REVIEW INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THE ADAPTER/CONVERTER.
Before using the adapter/converter, check the product you intend to use for the manufacturer's voltage and/or wattage rating, which should be located on the product.
CAUTION: ADAPTER PLUGS ALONE DO NOT CONVERT VOLTAGE. TO AVOID DAMAGING YOUR APPLIANCE, DO NOT USE WITHOUT A VOLTAGE CONVERTER.
- Do not leave the converter in the wall outlet when not in use.
- Do not continue to use the adapter/converter if it is not working properly, if it has been damaged, or dropped in water.
- Some appliances may operate a little more slowly when used in foreign countries operating on 50 Hz (U.S. operates on 60 Hz).
- A very low humming sound in the converter, appliance, or both may occur at times; this is normal.
- Due to unstable voltage in most foreign countries, if your appliance has a built-in thermostat, it may shut off prematurely. This does not mean your appliance or converter are not working properly. After your appliance cools down, it should resume operating properly.

Instructions for Use
For Use with Single Voltage Appliances
Appliances that operate on 110/120V will not work in most parts of the world where the voltage is 220/240V. Your Travel Smart by Conair converter makes it possible to use your portable appliances almost anywhere in the world.
To use: Plug your converter into the wall outlet, plug your appliance into Outlet 2, and turn on your appliance.
Most appliances have a wattage rating marked on them and should be checked before using.
This converter is for use with clothes irons, steamers, some hair dryers, etc., rated 26 to 1875W. DO NOT use the converter for electronic circuitry products (i.e., items that contain LEDs or LCDs). This converter is designed to be used only for short periods of time (approximately 30 minutes).
For Use with Dual Voltage Appliances
Diagram Description: The converter features two main outlets labeled "Outlet 1 for dual voltage" and "Outlet 2 for single voltage". A "USB Port" is located alongside these outlets.
To use:
- Insert the Converter into Wall Outlet: The converter pins are designed to fit most foreign wall outlets. Plug adapters for other countries are included (see Adapter Plugs section).
- Slide Button Down to Release Safety Shutters.
- Plug in Your Appliance: Plug your dual voltage appliance into Outlet 1. Maximum Rating: 10 AMP.
USB Port
Be sure your product uses USB for charging, or damage may occur (some cameras that include a USB cable are data transfer only, not for charging). The USB port can charge iPhones and iPods but is not compatible with iPads. Rating: 5V DC, 1A.
Adapter Plugs
In some countries, you may encounter recessed outlets or other shapes of wall outlets that the converter pins do not fit. The set of 5 adapter plugs included will adapt to most electrical outlets worldwide.
Adapter Plug Types and Regions:
- Round Thin Pins: Southern Europe, Middle East, and parts of Africa, Asia, and Caribbean.
