1. Introduction

The innovative Technology ITNS-500 is designed to convert various physical media, including 35mm film negatives, slides, photos, and business cards, into digital JPEG format. This device features a 5-megapixel image sensor and a convenient front-loading tray, making it ideal for archiving personal collections such as photographs, baseball cards, stamps, and business cards.

Important Note: The ITNS-500 is not compatible with Mac computers and is not supported on Windows operating systems beyond Windows 7.

2. Safety Information

  • Always handle the scanner with care to prevent damage.
  • Do not expose the device to moisture or extreme temperatures.
  • Use only the provided USB cable and software.
  • Keep out of reach of children.

4. Setup Guide

4.1 Connecting the Scanner

  1. Place the ITNS-500 scanner on a stable, flat surface.
  2. Connect one end of the provided USB cable to the USB port on the scanner.
  3. Connect the other end of the USB cable to an available USB port on your computer.
  4. Ensure the scanner's power indicator light illuminates, indicating it is receiving power.

4.2 Software Installation

The ITNS-500 requires specific software for operation. Please follow these steps carefully:

  1. Insert the software CD into your computer's CD/DVD drive. If no CD drive is available, refer to the manufacturer's website for software download instructions.
  2. Follow the on-screen prompts to install the scanning software.
  3. Once installation is complete, restart your computer if prompted.
  4. Launch the scanning software. The software should detect the connected ITNS-500 scanner.

Compatibility Warning: This scanner and its software are designed for Windows operating systems up to Windows 7. It is not compatible with Windows 8, 10, 11, or any Mac operating systems.

5. Operating Instructions

The ITNS-500 allows for scanning of various media types. Ensure the correct holder or tray is used for each type.

5.1 Scanning 35mm Film Negatives

  1. Open the film negative holder.
  2. Carefully place your 35mm film negative strips into the designated slots within the holder, ensuring the correct orientation.
  3. Close the holder securely.
  4. Insert the loaded film negative holder into the side slot of the ITNS-500 scanner.
  5. In the scanning software, select the "Negative Film" option.
  6. Preview the image and adjust settings (e.g., brightness, contrast) as needed.
  7. Click the "Scan" button to begin the digitization process.
  8. Save the scanned image to your desired location on your computer.

5.2 Scanning Slides

  1. Open the slide holder.
  2. Place your mounted slides into the designated slots within the holder.
  3. Close the holder securely.
  4. Insert the loaded slide holder into the side slot of the ITNS-500 scanner.
  5. In the scanning software, select the "Slide" option.
  6. Preview the image and adjust settings as needed.
  7. Click the "Scan" button.
  8. Save the scanned image.

5.3 Scanning Photos and Business Cards

  1. Place the photo or business card onto the front-loading tray. Ensure it is flat and properly aligned.
  2. Gently push the tray into the front slot of the ITNS-500 scanner.
  3. In the scanning software, select the "Photo" or "Business Card" option.
  4. Preview the image and adjust settings as needed.
  5. Click the "Scan" button.
  6. Save the scanned image.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning the Scanner

  • Ensure the scanner is disconnected from the computer before cleaning.
  • Use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth to wipe the exterior of the scanner.
  • For the scanning glass or lens, use a specialized lens cleaning cloth and solution to avoid scratches. Do not spray liquid directly onto the scanner.
  • Regularly remove dust and debris from the film and slide holders.

7. Troubleshooting
