2. Setup

2.1 Battery Installation

The Casio DQ-747-8EF requires one Lithium metal battery for operation. Ensure correct polarity when inserting the battery.

  1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the alarm clock.
  2. Carefully remove the battery compartment cover.
  3. Insert one Lithium metal battery, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align correctly with the indicators inside the compartment.
  4. Replace the battery compartment cover securely.

2.2 Initial Time and Date Setting

After installing the battery, the clock will power on. You will need to set the current time and date.

  1. Press the MODE button (usually located on the back or side) to enter time setting mode. The hour digits will flash.
  2. Use the ADJUST or SET buttons (refer to specific button labels on your device) to increase or decrease the hour.

3.1 Setting the Alarm

  2. Use the ADJUST or SET buttons to set the desired alarm hour.
