Maintenance
1. Water Resistance
Your Casio AQ-230GA-9D watch is rated as Water Resistant 30 meters. This means it is suitable for everyday use and can withstand splashes or brief immersion in water. It is not suitable for swimming, showering, or diving.
- Avoid operating buttons while the watch is wet.
- Do not expose the watch to hot water or steam.
2. Cleaning
Wipe the watch case and band periodically with a soft, dry cloth to remove dirt and moisture. For metal bands, a soft brush with mild soapy water can be used, followed by thorough rinsing and drying.
3. Battery Replacement
The watch requires 2 Lithium Metal batteries. When the display becomes dim or functions become erratic, it is time to replace the batteries. It is recommended to have battery replacement performed by a qualified watch technician to ensure proper sealing and water resistance.
Troubleshooting
- Analog hands not moving: Check if the crown is pushed in completely. If the issue persists, the battery may be low or depleted.
- Digital display is blank or dim: The battery may be low or depleted. Replace the batteries.
- Incorrect time/date: Re-set the time and date following the instructions in the 'Setup' section. Ensure the correct AM/PM setting is selected for 12-hour format.
- Buttons not responding: Ensure the watch is not wet. If the problem continues, contact customer support.
