5. Maintenance

5.1 Battery Replacement

This watch is equipped with a 10-year battery. When the display becomes dim or the watch stops functioning, it indicates that the battery needs replacement. Battery replacement should be performed by a qualified technician to ensure water resistance is maintained.

5.2 Water Resistance

The watch is water resistant to 50 meters (WR50M). This means it is suitable for short periods of recreational swimming or showering. It is not suitable for diving, snorkeling, or operating buttons underwater.

5.3 Cleaning

Wipe the watch case and band with a soft, dry cloth to remove dirt and moisture. For stainless steel bands, a mild soap solution and a soft brush can be used, followed by thorough rinsing and drying. Avoid using chemical cleaners.

5.4 Band Adjustment

The stainless steel band may require adjustment to fit your wrist comfortably. This typically involves removing or adding links. Due to the specific 'Folded Link' type of this band, it is recommended to seek professional assistance from a jeweler or watch repair service for band adjustments to prevent damage.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Digital Display is Blank or Dim: The battery may be low or depleted. Replace the battery.
  • Analog Hands Do Not Match Digital Time: The analog hands need to be manually adjusted to synchronize with the digital time. Refer to Section 3.2.
  • Watch Not Keeping Accurate Time: Ensure the correct city code and DST settings are selected. If the issue persists after battery replacement, consult a service center.
  • Light Not Working: Check if the battery is low. If the battery is new and the light still doesn't work, there may be an internal issue.
