4. Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove all packaging materials and ensure all components are present.

- Filling the Water Tank:
- Ensure the appliance is unplugged.
- Remove the 850ml water tank from the base unit.

5. Operating Instructions

- After Use: Switch off the appliance, unplug it from the mains, and allow it to cool down completely before storing. Use the cord rewind feature for tidy storage.
6. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your steam generator.
- Descaling: Although the boiler is corrosion-free, mineral deposits can still accumulate over time, especially in hard water areas. Refer to the appliance's specific descaling procedure, usually involving a rinse or a descaling solution. Perform descaling as recommended by the manufacturer.
- Cleaning the Soleplate: If the soleplate becomes dirty, clean it with a damp cloth and a non-abrasive cleaner designed for iron soleplates. Do not use metallic pads or abrasive cleaners.
- Emptying the Water Tank: After each use, it is recommended to empty any remaining water from the tank to prevent stagnant water and mineral buildup.
- Storage: Once cooled, store the iron securely in its base unit. Use the cord rewind function to neatly store the power cord.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues, consult the following table before contacting customer service.
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No steam produced | Water tank empty; appliance not heated up; steam control off. | Fill water tank; wait for 'steam ready' light; activate steam control. |
| Water leaking from soleplate | Temperature too low for steam; iron held horizontally for too long. | Increase temperature setting; avoid holding iron horizontally when not in use. |
| Appliance not heating | Not plugged in; power switch off; faulty outlet. | Check power connection; ensure power switch is on; test outlet with another appliance. |
