ezyVet integration with AKC Reunite enables automatic enrollment of your AKC Reunite Microchips with Prepaid Enrollments at no additional cost to you! Activate AKC Reunite to save time and ensure the pets you microchip are enrolled when they leave your care!
This is achieved through the following
- AKC Reunite scans ezyVet for AKC Reunite Microchips to enroll your clinic’s pet records that have a newly added or modified microchip.
If the microchip is not already enrolled, AKC Reunite enrolls the pet patient’s microchip ID to the Pet Owner.- If the microchip is already enrolled, AKC Reunite does not pull any information.
- Microchip enrollments will be processed for pet records with addresses in USA, Canada and Mexico only.
- Microchip is enrolled.
- The Pet Owner receives a welcome email from AKC Reunite that provides the pet owner information on how to maintain their pet’s enrollment records.

We charge no annual fees, record update fees, or surcharge fees for our 24/7 lost pet recovery service for as long as you own your pet. - Prepaid Enrollment – when the microchip is purchased from AKC Reunite, it may be purchased with the enrollment bundled with the microchip. No additional fee is necessary to enroll the microchip with AKC Reunite when it is implanted in a pet.

This section provides a brief overview of the AKC Reunite and ezyVet integration in practice. This guide assumes you buy microchips with prepaid enrollment from AKC Reunite and use the integration to seamlessly enroll newly implanted microchips to the pet owner in the AKC Reunite service.
Add a microchip to a Patient Record in ezyVet
Add the microchip number to the patient record. Most pet microchips will be 15 numerals exactly. Microchip numbers can only be 9, 10 or 15 characters, and may include letters A thru F and numbers 0 thru 9.
Microchip Enrollments process within 24 hours
AKC Reunite scans ezyVet for AKC Reunite Microchips to enroll your clinic’s pet records that have a newly added or modified microchip.
- If the microchip is not already enrolled, AKC Reunite enrolls the pet patient’s microchip ID to the Pet Owner.
- If the microchip is already enrolled, AKC Reunite does not pull any information.
Enrollment Confirmation Email sent to Pet Owner
The Pet Owner receives a welcome email from AKC Reunite that provides the pet owner information on how to maintain their pet’s enrolment records.
View clinic records in the AKC Reunite HUB
Navigate to https://www.akcreunite.org/ and click the HUB button in the top Navigation area.
Enter your AKC Reunite HUB credentials (PIN Code provided by AKC Reunite and Password that your clinic chooses) and select ‘Login’.
Once logged in, to view your ezyVet microchip enrollments, select the ‘Support’ link and then select ‘EZYVET ENROLLMENTS’ in the drop-down menu.
Microchip enrollments will be listed by date with most recent first. You may enter a microchip number and click the SEARCH button to find a specific record.
By clicking the icon of an arrow in a circle in the Action column, you may view the details received from ezyVet for that record.
How to Configure
This section details how to configure the AKC Reunite and ezyVet integration.
Enable Partner API Integration
The following outlines the steps required to enable your AKC Reunite Partner API integration.
- Log into ezyVet with relevant admin privileges
- Click on the ‘Admin’ tab
- Use the drop-down box on the left of the screen and select Integration
- In the Integration Search Box type and select “API Partner”
- Select AKC Reunite from the Partner drop down box and then click ‘Save’
- Underneath ‘Scopes’ click ‘Select All’ and then Click ‘Save’
- Click ‘Download Credentials’. Your browser will then download a file named credentialsapi.txt.
Contact AKC Reunite
Contact your AKC Reunite Account Manager at 800-252-7894 and provide:
- Your clinic’s name, address, primary phone and primary email address.
- The calendar date you want the integration to begin. For example, you can do a “catch-up” and AKC Reunite can pull in all records from any date forward, like January 1, 2024.
- Email the credentialsapi.txt to your AKC Reunite Account Manager AKC Reunite will send Integration Activation Confirmation Email to your clinic email address on file with AKC Reunite
- Once activated, clinic will receive a “SUCCESS!” email confirmation:
Disable Integration in ezyVet
If you no longer wish to use the AKC Reunite Microchip integration, it can be disabled by contacting AKC
Reunite at 800-252-7894 to have your ezyVet API Credentials deactivated.
You can also deactivate in ezyVet
- Use the drop-down box on the left of the screen and select Integration
- Use the search bar on the left-hand side of the screen to search for the integration
- Select the integration and look on the right-hand side of the screen for the DISABLE button
- Select DISABLE
- A Pop-up will appear where you can confirm the disable by selecting DISABLE again

- AKC Reunite queries ezyVet for new microchips entered, then captures client and patient details in ezyVet to enroll the microchip.
- The requests and response shown below are performed by secure, authenticated HTTP Request and Response messages that are common on the internet. The request message contains the details of what
