3. Setup Instructions

3.1 Powering the Device

The Projection Alarm Clock operates primarily via USB power. Connect the provided power cord to the clock and plug it into a compatible USB power adapter (not always included) or a USB port.

Important Note: The electronic clock requires continuous plug-in power for full functionality. The CR2032 button cell battery (included) is solely for memory function, ensuring that time settings are retained during a power outage.

3.2 Inserting the Backup Battery

1. Locate the CR2032 button cell holder on the back of the clock (refer to Figure 2).
2. Open the battery compartment cover.
3. Insert one CR2032 button cell battery, ensuring the correct polarity (+/-).
4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

3.3 Initial Time and Date Setting

Upon first power-up or after a prolonged power disconnection without a backup battery, you may need to set the time and date:

1. Press the SET button to enter time setting mode. The hour digits will flash.
2. Use the UP and DOWN buttons to adjust the hour.
3. Press SET again to confirm the hour and move to minute setting.
4. Use UP and DOWN to adjust the minutes.
5. Continue pressing SET to cycle through and set the date (Year, Month, Day) and temperature unit if applicable, adjusting values with UP and DOWN.
6. Press SET one last time to exit setting mode.

4.1 Setting the Alarm

1. Press the AL button to enter alarm setting mode. The alarm hour digits will flash.
2. Use the UP and DOWN buttons to adjust the alarm hour.
3. Press AL again to confirm the hour and move to alarm minute setting.
4. Use UP and DOWN to adjust the alarm minutes.
5. Press AL one last time to confirm and activate the alarm. An alarm icon will appear on the display.

4.2 Using the Snooze Function

When the alarm sounds, press the SNOOZE button to temporarily silence the alarm. The alarm will sound again after a preset interval (typically 5-10 minutes).

4.3 Adjusting Display Brightness

The main LED display has three brightness levels. Use the UP or DOWN buttons (outside of setting modes) to cycle through the brightness options.

4.4 Using the Time Projection

The clock can project the time onto a nearby surface, such as a wall or ceiling. The projection has two brightness levels.

1. To activate or adjust the projection brightness, locate the projection button (often integrated with the projection lens or a dedicated button on the side/back).
2. Press the projection button to cycle through off, low brightness, and high brightness settings.
3. The projection lens can be rotated 180 degrees to adjust the angle of the projected time. Manually rotate the projection arm to achieve the desired angle.

5.1 Cleaning

To clean the clock, gently wipe the surface with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or chemical sprays, as these can damage the finish or electronic components.

5.2 Battery Replacement

If the clock loses time settings during a power outage, it indicates that the CR2032 button cell backup battery needs to be replaced. Follow the steps in Section 3.2 to replace the battery.
